Committed to providing support services focused on the holistic development of our students, intellectual, personal, and social needs. We work to achieve these goals through the development and implementation of programs, outreach efforts, policy advocacy and community partnerships designed to provide student support services focused on the special needs and requirements of veterans, service members and their dependents. For individuals with disabilities are provided an opportunity to define their own needs and learn to advocate for themselves in securing and maintaining suitable housing that will allow them to live as independently as possible. Programs include the Rapid Transition Housing Program (RTHP) and Olmstead Housing Subsidy (OHS). *Please note, neither program is emergency housing and the process is not immediate.*

Offers a package of food for low income individuals or families who are in need.

Staff work with individuals and families to determine their eligibility for housing, shelter expenses, cash, food and/or medical insurance.

Offers a full range of services and activities for adults and children including computer access, story programs for preschoolers, programs for seniors, and summer reading clubs for children and teens. Also provides computer and technology classes and one-on-one instruction.

Coordinates efforts to look out for the rights of seniors in the state. AARP fights for age 50 and over individuals and their families at the local, state and national levels. We work on important issues, such as: Leading efforts to update Social Security and promote other retirement savings efforts to help everyone achieve lifetime financial security.

Provides evaluation and intervention for children who begin to show delays in development in the first few months and years.

Hosts special annual events at the hospital for various health conditions such as stroke awareness, spinal cord injury, COPD, and others.

Offers a selection of hair loss products for cancer patients as well as special products for breast cancer patients and survivors.

Offers a wide range of licensing, records, and informational services to town residents. Licensing and permits include marriage licenses, hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, and dog licenses. Other services include processing maintaining town records and archives as well as handling Freedom of Information requests.? Prepares and collects property taxes for residents of the Town of Cobleskill from January through June 1st.After June 1st all paperwork goes to the Schoharie County Treasurer's Office.

Fosters closer relationships between the library and the community supports the library's functions, resources, services and needs, and encourages benefactions, gifts, endowments and bequests to the Westhampton Free Library.

A free public elementary school that offers grades Kindergarten to 5th for students living in the school district boundaries.

Helps Nassau-Suffolk residents living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS, who are on the verge of falling behind, those who might otherwise fall through the cracks of traditional social support services. Services are totally dependent upon private donations and are not always available. Requests that may come in are transportation vouchers, appliances, winter coats, clothing vouchers, Holiday gifts, personal care items. Please call for availability.

Utilizes guidelines set forth by ADA to survey homes, businesses or places of employment for barriers to accessibility and provide recommendations for improved access.

Provides information and referrals to services and programs in the local community that are not offered by the Salvation Army.

Offers a virtual support group for individuals diagnosed with breast cancer.

Assists individuals when they want to file a discrimination complaint when their civil rights have been violated.

Provides a medically supervised, certified intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program that offers an alternative to incarceration for those mandated to drug treatment by the court, probation or parole.

This facility is licensed as a 44-bed adult home. Adult homes provide long-term residential care with 24-hour supervision and a full range of services such as meals, housekeeping, some personal care and social activities.

Calendar of events

Designed to assist and guide victims of crime through the legal system and educate them on their rights. These services are provided in English and Spanish and include crisis intervention, court escort, legal assistance, education awareness, and victim advocacy.

Offers home nursing, personal care, home health aides and homemaker services for individuals who need support at home due to age, illness, injury or disability.
