Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center offers a food pantry to those in need. This food pantry also offers clothing, and other household items.

Offers childcare to support Nassau Community College students, staff, faculty and administrators. The center is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and provides outstanding, yet reasonably priced, child care to allow parents to continue their education or employment knowing that their children are in a safe and nurturing environment. **DUE TO COVID-19, PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD - TENTATIVELY UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2021 **Thomas Sports Group provides organized sports leagues for low-income youth and families at risk. The objectives are to promote self-esteem, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership.

Provides many activities including hot and cold lunches three times a week, day trips, overnight trips, special movie dates, exercise and line dancing classes, just to name a few. Seniors are welcome to join the nearest center and to participate in all its activities.

Provides a separate and distinct work-related opportunity available to the Day Habilitation participants. Individuals are gainfully employed at the greenhouses and their salaries are provided entirely through the sales of products they grow. Helps develop self-esteem and job skills. Provides a cost-effective home care alternative for patients with various mental illnesses including phobias, depression, schizophrenia, bi-polar, and more. Services include education, evaluation and monitoring by an advanced practice psychiatric nurse.

Assists individuals who want to file a complaint about foundation-based, non-profits, consumer protection, and health care agencies, issues of safety, unethical behavior, etc.

Partners with law enforcement and other public safety agencies to assist in the location of lost people who have Alzheimer's, Down Syndrome, Dementia, Autism, and other related disorders.

Provides direct support to law enforcement to ensure an up-to-date sex offender registry. Provides support to community members who want to report registrants potentially in violation of registration laws.
