Our newest program is our Pet Pantry and we are proud to be helping EVERY member of the family. We offer pet food to family’s experiencing financial challenges because “Pets are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”

Established as a successor to Children's Court. Individuals, attorneys, and agencies may initiate a proceeding in the Family Court with the filing of a petition. Petition forms are available through the website, or upon request from the General Clerk's Office. Petitions may be filed in the Family Court to enforce or modify an order of another court including support, custody and visitation provisions of Supreme Court divorce judgements. However, divorce or separation matters are under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, and may not be filed in Family Court. Child support and spousal support payments (other than "pay direct") are handled through the Child Support Enforcement Bureau (CSEB), an agency of New York State. Accounting questions including arrears, issues pertaining to the suspension of licenses(drivers', recreational or professional), income tax or lottery interceptions, restraint of assets, or Department of Taxation and Finance Tax warrant inquiries should be directed to CSEB. Integrated Domestic Violence Parts (IDV) are under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, and are under the "one judge, one family" precept, enabling members of a family to address Family Court, Criminal Court (District Court), and matrimonial issues before a single judge. Family Court personnel will only provide procedural information, forms and/or guidelines concerning "how to proceed" in this court. Court personnel cannot provide you with legal advice. Offers a wellness center where various health screenings take place, along with health education programs, on topics of nutrition, emergency care, stroke prevention, and more.

Provides Reference, Information and Referral, and Readers Advisory. Programs may include Defensive Driving, performances and films, and book discussions.

Provides a comprehensive, residential treatment program for individuals struggling with alcohol and/or drug addiction, which can run 28 days or longer, which includes after care and family intervention.

Provides services to aid in foreclosure prevention, tax foreclosure, mortgage payments, predatory lending or other related foreclosure issues.

Offers courses in Cosmetology, Barbering, Nail Technician, Waxing and Esthetician. Additional course offerings include: Cosmetology Class Make-up Hours; Preparation for the New York State Licensing Cosmetology Exam; Barbering for the Licensed Cosmetologist; Eyelash Extensions; Laser Hair Removal and Skin Care and Make-Up Academy. BOCES also offers Salon Services, Inner Beauty Salon & Spa: all hair, skin, facial, waxing, manicure and Barber shop at reasonable prices (Oct-Jun). Call for appointments

Monitors new building conditions and construction and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Enforces the state and local building codes and housing standards and ordinances. Reviews applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses. Accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Bike It! is open to kids aged 10 and up, and will be held on Saturdays, from 9am to noon over the duration of six weeks. Each session includes instruction and a bike ride. All participants receive a T-shirt, patch kit and bike multi-tool. Our Spring 2025 season will start on April 5th and run through May 10th. Registration is $50 for YMCA Members and $75 for non-members. Financial assistance is available. Online registration is now open.

Provides fair housing counseling advocacy and training for housing providers and real estate related industry groups on state and federal laws. Investigates complaints and provides advocacy and services for victims of unlawful housing discrimination based on race/color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, familial status, age, marital status. Preserves and exhibits local history and presents programs on the local history of the Village of Babylon. Call for more information.

Offers a wide range of licensing, records, and informational services to town residents. Licensing and certificates include marriage licenses, hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, birth and death cerificates.

Offers customers the opportunity to enjoy the wooded lands and reservoirs for fishing, bird watching, hiking, or other outdoor recreational activities in Oradell, Woodcliff Lake, Lake DeForest and Lake Tappan. Some places are also handicap accessible.

Caregiver Support Services provides essential information, assistance, counseling, training and respite. The program for family caregivers helps sustain their efforts to care for an older relative who has a chronic illness or disability to help the older relative remain in the community rather than be placed in a residential facility. For grandparents and relative caregivers of children, the program will promote retention of these children in a nurturing family environment, instead of placement in foster care.

Our HELPLINE is dedicated to serving as an information source for women, while offering support. Through the programs and guidance provided by the Division of Women’s Services, women are empowered and gain the confidence and knowledge needed to move forward with the next steps in their lives.
