The school program provides students with developmental disabilities with specialized education, medical and therapeutic services. The program includes an individualized education plan, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, assistive technology training, nursing and social work services, psychological counseling, animal assisted therapy and music therapy.

Offers in-home counseling services for seniors and disabled adults and youths ages 4-21 . Some of the issues addressed include: aging and geriatric related issues, anger management, anxiety, caregiver concerns and difficulties, changes in family dynamics, chronic and terminal illness, depression, family concerns and difficulties, grief, loss and bereavement, health and wellness, life transitions, personal growth and clarity, personal problems or conflicts, self-confidence, self-esteem, and stress management.

Provides the first medical emergency responders of EMTs or paramedics to accidents, fires, disasters and other emergency-based situations.

Helps clients through the maze of services and ensures their needs are being met through person-centered planning. An individual plan if services is constructed and reviewed every six months to ensure goals are being optimally addressed.

Provides evidence based Mental Health First Aid training to the Nassau and Suffolk Communities. Training can focus on the population of your choice, and includes curricula options for youth, adults, veterans, public service and higher education professionals. Can be offered at any address in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Offers a serene space for caregivers to rest, recharge and gain access to info/resources/referrals from trained staff. Offers joint events with White Plains Hospital. Trained volunteer opportunity offered through Caregiver Ambassadors.

Provides a free public education to youth in grades 1st through 6th within the school district boundary.

Provides a re-accreditation program for professionals in substance/alcohol abuse counseling fields. Also offers a variety of other training programs for professionals. Trainings are OASAS (NYS Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services) approved for credit.

Bereavement support group for those who have lost someone to overdose.

Training and education for managers, executives, and other employees in the areas of dependency and addiction.

Local municipal government services.

Assists in guiding individuals with information on government agencies and who to contact based on their needs.

Offers a list of facilities that may be activated as Cooling Facilities during an Excessive Heat Event as determined by the National Weather Service for Suffolk County. During excessive heat conditions, review the operating hours and call before you go to make sure the cooling center is open. Call for detailed information.

Operates 9th through 12th grade classes.

The Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program (MMTP) at Whitney Young plays a pivotal role in stabilizing the lives of patients and decreasing heroin and non-narcotic drug use, decreasing the negative impact of illegal behaviors to obtain drugs, reducing behaviors associated with risk of exposure to and spread of HIV and other infectious disease such as Hepatitis C, and improving the effective use of health services and overall health outlook, social productivity and employability. The program offers the following support services: individual and family counseling; harm reduction education techniques; substance use and abuse education; support groups' a client advisory committee; case management services; HIV testing and counseling; and special services for substance abusing pregnant women.

Organizes/schedules league play for established softball teams: Men's Night League teams for men 25 and older Masters League teams for men 40 and over . Coed College Softball League teams for college students under 25 years and Coed Teen Softball League teams for boys and girls grades 9-12. Accepts registration by team only. Call for details.
