Provides free education, emotional support, support groups, and healthcare referrals to pregnant and postpartum mothers and fathers experiencing depression and/or anxiety (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders including postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis). Moms on Call and Family Telephone Support provided by trained volunteers. Circle of Caring support groups and training provided to healthcare providers and the community. Information and referral is also available on miscarriage, stillborn birth, abortion, and adoption. Help provided in English, Spanish and use of Language Line for other languages. Maintains and manages the 911 services for dispatching ambulance, police, fire and other emergency-related services throughout Dutchess County.

Provides a variety of recreational activities including weekend activities, vacations, overnight trips, and bowling for adults 21 and over, with a documented developmental disability. Promotes socialization and peer relationships while enjoying activities in the community with staff support.

Acts as custodian of the records for the county and maintains records of deeds and mortgages, and public information records. Other services include processing passport applications as well as maintaining town records and archives.

Provides a variety of concrete emergency services, such as food, clothing, limited financial aid or holiday assistance, to community members living within parish boundaries. Also provides bereavement support, consolation ministry, homebound assistance, and Hospital/Nursing Home visitations. Check with parish coordinator for details.

Provides a free public education to youth in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade within the school district boundary.

Provides parents and adolescents an opportunity to come together to resolve what could be one of the greatest concerns facing the family: adolescent substance use. This program is specially geared towards at-risk youth and their families. It is designed to provide an arena for shared learning and discussion around personal values and concerns relating to substance use and teens. We offer multifamily group, individual and family prevention services, and medication assisted treatment. Additionally, Tempo Group utilizes evidence-based prevention and intervention programs where appropriate.

Provides prenatal, perinatal, postpartum care for women who need home care before and/or after the baby is born. Pediatric assessment, education and treatment for the family is also available, if needed. Also provides teen pregnancy prevention classes.

Provides law enforcement. Serves the residence of the Village of Amityville.

Provides OMH-licensed residential units of one, two, or three bedrooms with visiting staff who provide individualized Medicaid-reimbursed services, life skills training, and 24/7 on-call help is available. Residents are expected to transition to more independent living when able.

We provide a Batterer's Intervention Program for male and female perpetrators of domestic violence. Our program is based off the Duluth Model of Domestic Violence Intervention. We provide intakes and evaluations for individuals mandated by Suffolk and Nassau County Courts, Child Protection Services, New York State Parole, Suffolk County Probation Department, and other local referral sources. We also accept individuals from the community who are not legally mandated, but are voluntarily seeking out Domestic Violence Intervention/Batterer's Services for themselves and their loved ones. Our program is a minimum of 32 weeks for successful completion, however sometimes the recommendation is for a longer stay in the program. We provide group and individual services. We also facilitate offender groups that are specific to parenting themes.

Provides a full day education program for children (ages 3-5) with and without disabilities. Children w/disabilities receive services as reflected on their IEP including special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological counseling and parent training.

Provides those services which are necessities for medical care services with a hospital.

Professional instructors offer private, semi-private and group swim classes.

Offers individuals and groups the opportunity to help with fund raising, and routine home and yard maintenance. Monetary donations are always accepted.

Offers workshops that vary from year to year, and may include such courses as cartooning, painting, pottery, digital photography, website design, ninjutsu, chess, drama, fun in the kitchen, language arts, math, card sharks, CPR and Survivor. Call for current schedule and course fee.

Volunteers call and check in and lend a friendly voice to a person who is lonely.

Offers information on recycling of different materials, such as used car oil and batteries, etc.

Recruits volunteers to deliver lunches to home bound seniors during the week at the noon hour, or to help make phone calls or help drive ambulatory neighbors to run errands, doctors visits, etc. (See also Summer Camp Programs for volunteer counselor opportunities, fees required.)

Offers an opportunity for young adults with arthritis to connect, support and socialize with each other in informal settings.
