Teen Leadership Rockland is a leadership development program for sophomore level high school students. The program connects students with leadership potential with peers and community leaders through interactive seminars.

Serves individuals who struggle with anxiety/phobia disorders, depression, substance abuse, and the effects of trauma. Employs services of 13-20 year olds to deliver literacy and education activities to After School Program participants ages 5-11 year olds.

Provides a repository for the official publications of New York State government. Also maintains three major components: a research library Talking Book and Braille Library(TBBL), and a division of Library Development.

Offers special services for those with disabilities, such as large print or Braille for the blind or seniors, special notifications and assistance to homes which have someone who is chronically ill, frail elderly, oxygen dependent, or disabled. Also has a program designed specifically for senior citizens for information and referral to government aid programs, safety tips, saving money on the energy bill, printed materials, and bill paying options which might save them money.

Provides out-of-home respite care for families and/or caretakers of medically fragile children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Offers education and training about child abuse, how to look for signs and symptoms of abuse, and where to get help. The training is geared to social service providers, teachers, physicians and other professionals who work or deal with children

Provides information and referrals to local resources and services, including access to a database of research and information about MS.

Provides detoxification and methadone maintenance for patients involved with long term opiate abuse. Services include individual and group counseling, annual physical examinations, blood/other lab tests, and primary care.

The program’s goal is for the children to develop good eating habits, improve their overall health and nutrition, and further educate children and adults on the importance of good nutrition. Providers are reimbursed for a portion of the meals and snacks that meet the nutritional requirement for children up to the age of 13 that are enrolled in their program.

Provides programs all year round located off site in a store front in Oceanside, NY. Opts Day Habilitation serves individuals, 21 and older with developmental disabilities. Opts Day Habilitation is a community outreach program where individuals with developmental disabilities provide local non-profit organizations with community service. This is a comprehensive program that focuses on community integration and volunteerism. Call for information.

Offers Mommy and Me programs for parents and children 4 months-4 years old. Classes include baby playgroups, toddlers programs, separation programs, music, crafts, socialization, and birthday parties. Classes are 90 minutes from Monday through Friday. Operates 15 senior citizen housing complexes and one for people with physical disabilities. Applications can be requested from Stanan Management. Eligible seniors will be placed on a waiting list, currently 2-4 years. There is an Amityville residence for the physically disabled. Call for more information.
