Adult homes provide long-term residential care with 24-hour supervision and a full range of services such as meals, housekeeping, some personal care and social activities. Adult homes are licensed and regulated by the New York State Health Department; enriched housing programs provide seniors with long-term residential care in apartment settings resembling independent living units. Additional services are available such as meals, housekeeping, social activities and some personal care.

Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center and Eddy Alzheimer's Center at Hawthorne Ridge are the only medical model adult day services in the Capital Region designed specifically for older adults with memory loss who are still living in their own homes or in the community with caregivers. Adult Day Programs offer a full range of health and social services to help older adults with physical, emotional, or mental impairments, or who require supervision and/or medical care. Services enable older adults to remain independent for as long as possible, while allowing caregivers relief from the responsibilities of at-home care giving so they can fulfill work or other obligations. Transportation is provided in geographic area. Lunch and snacks are also provided for participants.
