Offers a community based Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention program focused on healthy lifestyles. This program is offered for free in English and Spanish for all ages. ESNY utilizes a variety of hands-on educational strategies to bring about wellness behavioral changes within the community. All of our programs are interactive, focusing on creating healthy eating and physical activity habits. We also work with agencies to create healthy environments that focus on policy and systems change. Our educators provide programs throughout the community in food pantries, schools partner agencies, farmer's markets, laundromats, corner stores, libraries work sites, etc. Our 4 main areas of focus are "increase consumption of fruits and vegetables, increase physical activity, decrease consumption of sugary beverages, and learn how to budget, plan and save.
