Provides services for persons over 18 who are physically or mentally impaired and who are in a situation where they are harmed or threatened with harm by the actions of themselves or others. This often involves the frail elderly and adults who are physically or mentally disabled, seriously ill or alcohol/substance abusers. Potential clients have no one able or willing to help them meet their essential needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and for medical care. Any concerned person or agency should make a referral for services. All calls are confidential and may be made anonymously.

Latinas Prosperando or Thriving Latinas program is for Latina immigrant women who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and/or stalking. Case management, ESL classes, financial literacy, education on housing search options, and workforce development support is provided. Knitting Our Stories - Tejiendo Nuestras Historias, provides a safe space where women can learn to heal from past traumatic experiences through a culturally-adapted support group and art therapy.

Provides a free public education to youth in grades Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten within the school district boundary.

Provides nutrition assessments and education for individuals who need to establish good eating habits for a variety of health reasons.

Evaluation and inspection services provide assistance for consumers who want to register complaints regarding the services of companies that provide electricity and water.

Provides a confidential and anonymous hotline to report underage drinking parties, bars serving or retailers selling alcohol beverages to those under 21. Each call is investigated.

Provides ongoing support and technical assistance to those interested in developing or expanding family child care homes or child care centers. Offers a variety of training opportunities to family providers, parents and center staff. Maintains job bank for those interested in child care employment.

Offers free legal advice and direct representation to veterans in civil (non-criminal)legal matters, such as housing issues, eviction, foreclosure prevention, denied benefits, consumer protection, child support assistance, etc.

Provides a community based Senior Citizen Center. Offers socialization, recreation and support services.

Pantry guests can visit once per month and must provide current, valid identification at the time of pickup. Our services operate by donation only and guests must be Town of Babylon residents. Maintains all town roads including paving & repair, snow removal, street sweeping, and signage in the Town of Stratford. Picks up residential brush & leaves and provides waste management information for Town of Stratford residents.

Provides a food pantry for those in need in the community. Families are supplied with 3 bags of non-perishable food items. Thanksgiving baskets are available with turkey (uncooked) and trimmings to make a Thanksgiving meal at home. Church office must be notified by Nov. 1 and pick up date is the Friday before Thanksgiving.

Offers a one week day camp program for children, ages 5-15, with type 1 Diabetes. Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor sports and music. Features low staff to participant ratios, with a medical staff on site and trained counselors (many who have diabetes). Each camper can invite one guest who doesn't have diabetes to attend. Provides a structured, 5 day-a-week program with the objective to assist participants in managing their psychiatric symptoms and to develop the skills necessary to improve emotional, cognitive, social and vocational functioning. Treatment includes clinical, psychiatric rehabilitation, case management, psychosocial, co-occurring services, and structured skill development.

Assists families with complaint applications regarding cemetery fraud, etc, and investigates these complaints.

Provides a walkway from an old railroad bridge transformed into a park and walkway providing public access for pedestrians, hikers, joggers, bicyclists, and people with disabilities to the Hudson River's scenic landscape. The bridge serves as a connector to an extensive network of rail trails on both sides of the river.

The Mobile Food Pantry program offers, free food and clothing to those in need at nine distribution sites across Suffolk County. Program locations in Bellport, Centereach, Middle Island, Patchogue, Port Jefferson Station, Riverhead, Rocky Point, Ronkonkoma and Shirley. During Thanksgiving season LighHouse Mission provides food assistance for families in need at its Mobile Food pantry sites. Donations can be dropped off at Lighthouse Mission's facility at 1543 Montauk Highway Bellport, ny 11713. Monetary donations are also accepted.

Provides support and information for patients with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis (also known as IBD or Inflammatory Bowel Disease). These include: hospital visitor, mutual help groups, physician referral service, speakers bureau and peer counseling. Serves both Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
