PhRMA’s Medicine Assistance Tool (MAT) is a search engine designed to help patients, caregivers and health care providers learn more about the resources available through the various biopharmaceutical industry programs. MAT is not its own patient assistance program, but rather a search engine for many of the patient assistance resources that the biopharmaceutical industry offers.

The food pantry is available to Rockland County residents on an emergency basis one time per month per household. Residents must come to the office for a simple registration prior to using the Food Pantry. A three-day food supply is given to families for three meals each day. The food pantry is open three time a week (afternoon, evening, weekend)

The mobile crisis team is made up of mental health professionals that offer crisis prevention and intervention to individuals and families within Essex County who are experiencing a behavioral health or emotional crisis. The mobile crisis team provides crisis assessment, support, intervention and follow-up planning as well as linking to ongoing appropriate community services.

Committed to protecting our groundwater from petroleum contamination. The proper closure of small underground petroleum tanks, such as heating oil tanks, can reduce that threat. Contact the department to schedule an upcoming small heating oil tank removal/abandonment, or to print out a confirmation letter for a previously completed small tank closure. Provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary outpatient program for children and adolescents with asthma. The team includes sub-specialists in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and Allergy/Immunology. Treatment includes pulmonary function testing, complete allergy testing and treatment. At the Asthma Learning Center patients and families can learn about asthma through reading, watching videos or playing interactive games

Provides placement referrals to those people 18 years of age and older, who are mentally and/or physically impaired, in need of a supervised living situation, and who meet specified income levels. Assists clients to access a family-type adult home, an adult home, or a nursing home placement.

Assists local governments, volunteer organizations and private industry through a variety of emergency management programs. These programs include hazard identification, loss prevention and training, operation response to emergencies, technical support, disaster recovery assistance, and in times of an emergency/disaster, will coordinate the response of all State agencies, ensuring the most appropriate resources are dispatched to the impacted area.

Provides up to $200 in utility payment assistance for individuals with National Grid who have exhausted all sources of HEAP.

Accept Food Stamp applications, determine eligibility for the Food Stamp program and allotments, and issue Food Stamp EBT cards. This EBT card enables low-income and indigent households to purchase nutritious foods. Amount of food stamps issued varies with family size and income.
