Information and counseling is provided about different types of government programs, including federal and state financial assistance programs, and county-wide benefits. You can meet one-on-one with a trained counselor at one of our library-based locations. Spanish interpreter can be made available by appointment.

This task force is an independent coalition of individuals working to reduce child abuse and maltreatment through providing education for the professional and non-professional communities, and advocating for legislation and policy that protects children. It is co-sponsored by the Mental Health Association of Westchester and the Child Care Council of Westchester.

Care Coordination is a service to assist individuals who reside in a community setting or are transitioning to a community setting to gain access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services and supports, such as housing, transportation and entitlement programs.

Provides emergency shelter for homeless men, women, families with children, and youth ages 16 years and older. Guests receive personal care items, three meals a day, the use of a laundry area, and case management assistance with goal setting, identifying, and accessing appropriate housing.

Immunization education and outreach.

The building department monitors new building conditions and construction, and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Also enforces the state and local building codes, housing standards and ordinances, to the review of applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses, in addition to electrical and plumbing work. The building department accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Provides both day and overnight respite care for caregivers or families who need a break of caring for a family member with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries.

Offers appropriate business attire for women entering or transitioning into the workforce. A career center is also provided where staff assist women in resume writing and job search information. Accepts donations of new or good used women's business/work attire.

Provides a wide range of gynecologic/reproductive health care services for adolescents, women and men. Offers family planning, contraception, testing, treatment and counseling for sexually transmitted diseases. Also provides telemedicine, pregnancy, abortion and gender affirming services. Offers sex education and reproductive health advocacy.

Provides an in-jail educational and counseling program for persons above the age of 21. Individuals will have the opportunity to enroll in an Adult Basic Education program leading to a High School Equivalency Diploma or an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.

Advocacy, shelter, support groups, individual support, 24-Hour Hotline, One-On-One chat sessions Mon-Fri 8:00 am-8:00 pm through website, information and referrals, training and education, teen dating violence curriculum, accompaniment, children's services in shelter, a program designed for Latina victims of domestic violence El Abrazo de mis Hermanas - My Sister's Embrace.

Arranges free transportation within the United States, for cancer patients requiring bone marrow or stem cell transplants, to and from recognized cancer treatment centers without regard to their financial resources. Will also provide transportation for bone marrow and stem cell donors.

Handicapped-accessible housing for men and women. Offers single room occupancies, shared living facilities, and laundry. A resident manager lives onsite to maintain grounds and offer 24/7 security. RECAP case managers help residents access other supportive services such as Meals on Wheels. Heat/hot water and cable available.
