These efforts translate into discussions with local police departments about dissociating immigration enforcement from law enforcement and ensuring language access for immigrant Long Islanders; educating local government and members of the judiciary about the changing needs of immigrant communities in Nassau and Suffolk counties; and engaging in advocacy initiatives at the state and federal levels to uphold the rights of new Americans.

Divorce mediation offers a non-adversarial alternative to the traditional legal process. The center's mediators are lawyers or legal professionals with specialized training in divorce mediation. Services begin with a one hour consultation between the mediator and the prospective couple.

The Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) gives food assistance to low-income households with food loss or damage caused by a natural disaster.
