The Resource Recovery Unit attempts to recoup non-exempt income and assets from a client receiving social service benefits, in the cases where total resources were under reported. Offers a residential education and treatment center for youth who have been abused, neglected or in other dangerous situations at home. The emphasis is on the development of a therapeutic, mentoring and normalizing culture. Many of the youth are placed in foster homes, but helping the child maintain connections with their family, and building new ones with the foster family are emphasized.

The Greene County Department of Human Services Nutrition Program allows seniors to remain independent in their homes while maintaining good nutrition. Home Delivered Meals are provided to those individuals deemed eligible. Volunteers deliver these meals Monday through Friday (except holidays) throughout Greene County. This program provides seniors the opportunity to improve and/or maintain their nutrition, health status, and quality of life while remaining in their home. Each senior service center serves a noon-time meal consisting of a hot entree, vegetable and fruit, bread and butter, low fat milk and a dessert. Substitutions are available for those on diabetic or low-salt diets. The Nutrition Education Program provides a registered dietitian who does nutritional education on a one-on-one counseling level if needed by clients.

Provides outpatient psychiatric treatment program services to Nassau and Suffolk counties. Outpatient treatment provided at local settings. The City Clerk is responsible for the issuance of marriage licenses for the State of New York and the recording of birth, marriage and death certificates in Glen Cove as required by the State of New York. In addition, the City Clerk issues yard/garage sale permits, racing and wagering permits for gambling, bingo and raffles, block party permits, and dog licenses for the City of Glen Cove. The City Clerk maintains the minutes of all City Council meetings. Copies of the City of Glen Cove zoning books and maps are available for purchase from the Office of the City Clerk. The City Clerk also handles all Freedom of Information Law (F.O.I.L.) requests and claims against the City of Glen Cove.

Good Counsel Homes provides temporary shelter for homeless pregnant women. Available services include educational opportunities, preparation for the GED examination, medical and psychological support, career training, on-site counseling, and a full range of Life Skill courses taught in the homes.

Also available is tele-medicine that provides devices that enables self-monitoring and transmit medical data (blood pressure, weight, oxygen levels) via the telephone line to the Tele-medicine nurse for tracking and follow-up.
