Picks up residential brush & leaves and provides waste management information for Village of Menands residents. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating the system of aqueducts, reservoirs, channels, pipelines, mains, laterals, curb boxes, and pumping and purifying equipment by which the community's water supply is obtained, treated, stored, and distributed to consumers in the Village of Menands.? Sewer: Responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the pipes, drains, and manholes that constitute the sewage collection system which transports liquid waste to treatment facilities.

Provides a food pantry for individuals in need.

The Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) gives food assistance to low-income households with food loss or damage caused by a natural disaster.

Homebound meals are hot nutritious meals that are delivered to qualified homebound seniors 60 years or older, who are residents of Sullivan County and have limited support and difficulty preparing their own meals. Participants can be referred for this service by contacting the Office for the Aging. Referrals can be made by individuals, doctors, neighbors, or friends. Participants may also receive assistance for other needed services through a complete assessment by an OFA Aging Services Specialist.

Preserves and exhibits local history and presents programs on the local history of Huntington. Offers educational programs for school age children at the Conklin and Kissam House Museums and a summer camp program. Offers tours, exhibitions, craft classes, genealogy workshops, seasonal festivals and special events.

Provides a preschool program designed for each child to learn and grow through specialized activities and enrichment classes. Children will learn about letters, numbers, colors, and character development, but also receive instruction in swimming, arts & crafts, sports, gym games, dance, and STEAM incorporated into the daily curriculum.

Responsible for processing the collection of restitution payment as ordered by the various courts. Also responsible for collecting administrative fees from offenders on probation and those for whom the court has ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Delivers home and community based psychiatric treatment, support and rehabilitation services to individuals in their natural living environment. Direct services include: medication management, substance abuse treatment, housing assistance, vocational services information and referral.

Offers appropriate business attire for women entering or transitioning into the workforce. A career center is also provided where staff assist women in resume writing and job search information. Accepts donations of new or good used women's business/work attire.

This program trains teenagers in CPR and First Aid, with some becoming New York State Certified First Responders. Members of the Ambulance Youth Group, perform Standby's for various activities such as the Grange Fair, Fireman's Carnival, Walk-a-thons, and Sporting events. When members become 16, they can ride on the ambulance alongside the regular duty crews.

Environmental Health works to ensure the safety of the public in a wide range of areas, such as rabies control, safe drinking water, sanitary food and restaurant conditions, etc.
