Educational program that attempts to discourage adolescents and adults from driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs that have an impact on their reflexes or judgement. Warren County Public Health Services works closely with physicians, health centers, and Glens Falls Hospital to consistently encourage and assure timely reporting of laboratory confirmed and-or clinically suspected cases of reportable communicable diseases. A Public Health Nurse follows up with clients either by telephone or home visits, to offer needed information to assure appropriate treatment of infected individuals and prevent exposure to contacts as appropriate, in order to protect the health of the public. The Rabies Prevention Program follows up on all animal bites-exposures, provides approval for rabies post exposure vaccination, approves rabies specimen testing, serves as a resource for providers and the community and offers rabies vaccination clinics for pets. All animal bites-exposures are mandated by Public Health law to be reported to the victim's county of residence. Tuberculosis PPD testing is offered by appointment to any Warren County resident requesting it.

In 1868, Albany Memorial Hospital opened its doors as the Albany City Free Dispensary providing care to patients unable to pay. Today, the 165-bed community hospital provides inpatient and outpatient care, as well as ambulatory surgery. This includes the Heart Program for congestive heart failure, Capital Region Diabetes & Endocrine Care, wound care, the Anticoagulation Management Clinic, the Pelvic Health Center and a state-of-the-art emergency department.

Investigates and certifies cause and manner of sudden, accidental, suspicious, violent or unattended death. Provides forensic toxicology and crime laboratory services for the County and Criminal Justice partners. This state-of-the-art laboratory performs analysis in all three areas of forensic toxicology: post-mortem, human performance, and forensic drug testing. Specimens are analyzed for law enforcement agencies, Drug Court, DWI Program, drug facilitated sexual assault, the Probation department, and the Methadone Maintenance Program. Provides temporary housing in traditional apartments located throughout the Hudson Valley. Residents from Westchester and Suffolk County can receive assistance. These settings provide families with stability and the opportunity to become self-sufficient with assistance provided by a case manager.
