Some of the topics discussed will be driving, family relationships, loss, and community resources for older adults. These sessions will be interactive and informative. Offers a drop-in teen center for teenagers in the community, where they can lean to play chess, sports, drama workshops, rap sessions, and other activities.

Serves and enforces civil processes issued by the courts, including Summons, Petitions, Subpoenas, Real and Personal Property Executions, Orders of Seizure, Attachment Orders, Warrants of Eviction, Orders of Protection, and Civil Arrest Warrants.

Provides training seminars and institutes on inclusionary issues, autism, early identification, involving families in assessment, remediation and goal setting, working with children with behavior problems, etc. Seminars target early childhood personnel working with children with and without disabilities and their families. HUD-certified first time homebuyer education program, including one to one financial counseling for first-time homebuyers, including how much of a mortgage is affordable, understanding closing costs, resolving credit issues, and how to select a real estate agent, lawyer, mortgage lender and other professionals. Counselors will link prospective first-time homebuyers with sources of down payment assistance. Workshops scheduled periodically at various locations throughout the county.

The Community Guardianship program works to ensure the health and safety of people who are incapacitated and unable to manage aspects of daily living requirements.

DBCH provides health education presentations that are age appropriate, culturally sensitive and tailored to meet specific needs, from preschool to seniors. Some presentations include information on Nutrition, Oral Health Care, Diabetes, Lead, Lyme Disease, and much much more.

Provides support services to those who are looking for employment, with access to job information via the computer and online resources, including workshops or pre-job guidance training. Also offers weekly conversation English classes for those who want to improve their speaking skills.

Provides a community clinic that offers general medical care for children and adults, including adolescent medicine, pediatrics, nutrition, diabetes management, immunizations, etc.

Offers two inpatient units with a combined 42 beds and a multidisciplinary behavioral health team with special gerontological expertise. Our patients include elders with late-life depression, psychotic disorders, medical/neurological illnesses with psychiatric symptoms and Alzheimer's disease or related conditions with serious behavioral disturbances, such as agitation, aggression, psychosis and mood abnormalities. Our dedicated geropsychiatric units ensure that patients are grouped in an age-sensitive setting with other older patients, rather than commingled with younger psychiatric patients whose clinical symptoms and behaviors may be especially unsettling to elders.
