The NY LGBT Network is a regional leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Services help the entire community know their status, prevent the transmission of HIV, and to maintain health through treatment. Services include: HIV Pre- and Post-Test Counseling and Education, HIV Testing (20-minute rapid results test), HCV (Hepatitis C) Testing (20 minute rapid results test), screening for sexually transmitted infections/diseases (STIs/STDs) including Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis. Provides safer sex supplies including condoms for free.

The Outpatient Clinics offer primary care services for veterans.

Lifeline is a personal emergency response system which offers seniors or those with disabilities, independence and support so they may remain in their homes. A device which the person carries, or wears on their person, at all times, has a HELP button which summons emergency services within seconds, 24 hours a day.

Assists men suffering from varying degrees of mental illness and substance abuse with housing. Services include case management coordination, appointment transportation, rep payee assistance, and medication distribution as well as connection to job opportunities and education.

Offers an annual conference, Pride Work For Youth, that is primarily for middle and high school LGBTQ and straight students and staff, and also offers a Gay-Straight Alliance summit for students and advisers.

DBCH provides health education presentations that are age appropriate, culturally sensitive and tailored to meet specific needs, from preschool to seniors. Some presentations include information on Nutrition, Oral Health Care, Diabetes, Lead, Lyme Disease, and much much more.

Provides home delivered meals for nutritionally-at-risk homebound elderly individuals or those unable to prepare meals in Rensselaer County. Provides seniors the opportunity to improve and-or maintain their nutrition, health status, and quality of life while remaining in their home.

Operates 6th through 8th grade classes.

Preschool special education provides specially planned individual or group instructional services or programs for eligible children, from ages 3 to 5 years, who have a disability that affects their learning. These services are funded by local municipalities as well as by state funds and are provided at no cost to the family.

Provides financial assistance for low income families with children under 18.

Makes decisions on school curriculum, decisions regarding discipline, school closures and other educational issues which affect the teachers and students. Parents/guardians wanting to gain information about these matters can call the administration office.

Provides food assistance to low-income households with food loss or damage caused by a natural disaster.

Offers individual and group counseling to persons with epilepsy and their family members utilizing various therapeutic interventions such as the Genogram and play therapy when working with children.

Vocational Assessment and Counseling services are designed to assist patient with returning to or maintaining an employment situation through the use of compensatory approaches that support management of the ongoing effects of their brain injury. Assessment may include completion of formal tests to identify areas of career interest as well as strengths and weaknesses to consider when exploring appropriate potential employment opportunities. Counseling interventions may entail problem solving or troubleshooting strategies and the development of specific compensatory techniques to support organization, accuracy and efficiency on job tasks. Other areas targeted may include communication skills development, approaches that may facilitate successful performance at work. Exploration of other available vocational services, such as through NYS VESID are also utilized.

A Veterans Treatment Court/Track is a separate court calendar within an existing drug treatment or mental health court that provides veteran-defendants suffering from addiction, mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders with linkages to community-based services as well as local, state and federal agencies specializing in veteran's affairs. Similar to drug treatment and mental health courts, a Veterans Court/Track utilizes a team-centered approach to address the needs of veterans who find themselves involved in the criminal justice system. This approach involves the cooperation and collaboration of traditional stakeholders found in drug treatment and mental health courts with the addition of representatives from the The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, veterans support organizations and peer mentors.Peer mentors are a critical component of the Veterans Court/Track. They are men and women who have previously served in our military's armed forces and volunteer their time to work with veterans in court. By virtue of the military experience, peer mentors provide veteran-defendants with a unique source of support and motivation as they navigate through the court process. Through the use of peer mentors,judicial monitoring, coordinated services and enhanced communication, the Veterans Court/Track seeks to provide veterans with immediate and intensive intervention so that they can successfully reintegrate into civilian life.

Offers a career resource room, career development workshops, intensive job search assistance, career advisement services, a student internship program, on-line skills assessment, electronic learning, on-the-job training, a senior service employment program, computer literacy training, an employee enhancement program, and occupational skill training.

Offers financial assistance to patients in the Greater Metro Area ( within the counties of New York City, as well as Nassau & Suffolk) who are living with a cancer diagnosis. The foundation strives to relieve qualified patients of financial stress. The following are examples of day-to-day living exspenses with which we may assist: rent or mortage payments (patient must be lessee or homeowner), utility payments (water,sewer,electric), telephone payments (landline or mobile and other exspenses on a case by case basis.
