Assists men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities live in their communities by providing residential services in 11 family-like residences with five to twelve residents. Provides long-term living arrangements that have the necessary supervision and structure including instruction in everyday tasks like doing laundry and cooking, coping with upsetting situations, conflicts with friends and family, and planning leisure time and activities. Offers a location for a support group of individuals recovering from drug addiction to meet regularly.

Provides outpatient mental health services to individuals, families, and children with impaired emotional-behavioral functioning and psychiatric difficulties. Services are provided in with a trauma-informed and person centered approach and include assessment and health screenings, medical review and management, outpatient counseling, treatment planning, and clinical support.

Program components include academics with an emphasis on functional skill development, as well as simulated work activities to apply newly acquired knowledge. Behavior management, independent living, and social skills are also addressed. Where needed, discrete trial teaching and applied behavioral analysis is utilized in conjunction with grade level curriculum. Functional assessments of behavior intervention plans are implemented for support when needed. Students are classified as Multiple Disabilities; Autism; Intellectual Disability; Emotional Disturbance; Speech Impairment and Other Health Impairment. The Secondary Developmental Program services students with various developmental disabilities. The primary goal of the program is to maximize each student's potential and to teach skills that will enable them to become as independent as possible within the confines of his/her disability. Program components include improving cognition with an emphasis on sensory motor skills development. Functional assessments of behavior and behavior intervention plans are put in place for support when needed. The 12:1:4 Program emphasizes a multi-sensory approach to learning. Emphasis is placed on improving cognition, sensory motor skills development and use of adaptive equipment to aid movement and independence. Students placed in the 12:1:4 class component are dependent upon staff for meeting their needs throughout the school day. Classroom instruction is provided with hand over hand assistance. Related services of speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy are provided on a group push-in basis. All students are assessed using the New York State Alternate Assessment. The District Based Program (Half day at WHBLC @ Shoreham-Wading River High School / Half day at H.B. Ward Career & Tech SCE or TSP @ BLC) services students with various developmental disabilities. The primary goal is to introduce the students to work skills that may prepare them for entry level employment or help them achieve success in their transitional plan. Functional assessments of behavior and behavior intervention plans are put in place for support when needed. Programs are offered at various locations.

FEMA may offer Temporary Housing Units such as travel trailers or manufactured housing units. These units are property of FEMA. Occupants may be eligible to stay in these FEMA-provided units for up to 18 months from the date of the disaster declaration while securing a permanent housing plan.
