Federation of organizations offers over 750 permanent, safe and affordable residential placements in our supportive scattered-site Housing program. In this program, individuals with disabilities live in apartments or houses throughout Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. We provide specialized supportive scattered-site housing placements that target vulnerable populations such as veterans, shelter-homeless individuals transitioning out of adult homes, state psychiatric centers, prisons and local hospitals. Offers residential services to children and adolescents with autism and/or developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities or multiple disabilities. Staffed by counselors, supervisors, nurses, psychologist, social worker and recreation coordinator. Promotes independence and accountability through informed choices while stressing on communication skills, personal hygiene and grooming, domestic skills, effective use of leisure time and family and community living and socialization.

Provides law enforcement. Serves the residents of the town of Montauk.

Provides educational, social, support, early intervention services, and preschool classes for children birth to five years of age, and their families. Children with a wide variety of learning and developmental disabilities, including autism and Down syndrome, attend schools located throughout Westchester County.

Offers mental health support through assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals to appropriate community mental health services and resources. The team responds to people in crisis, usually at their homes or at another community location, including at their office locations.

Offers comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents and adults who have known or suspected Autism Spectrum Disorders (autism, Asperger's or PDD). These evaluations determine whether a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder is appropriate, identify individual strengths and weaknesses, provide an understanding of intellectual potential, help in the development of a treatment/educational plan, and offer recommendations for effective strategies and support services.

Offers a one-to-one mentoring program that matches a community volunteer with an adult receiving mental health services. Volunteers spend one hour a week doing a variety of activities with their compeer friend. Also recruits and trains prospective volunteers, including providing ongoing support once they join the program.

Offers a bereavement group for people who have lost a child, grandchild, or sibling.

Set up to conduct investigations, prosecute those who engage in violent acts against persons related to them or with whom they have an ongoing relationship spouse, boy/girlfriend, child, to prosecute those who physically and or sexually abuse children, and to investigate and prosecute all sex offenses regardless of the victim's age and/or relationship, or lack thereof, to the offender. It also offers support services to victims, including counseling and referral to shelters.

Educates students within the school district boundary.

Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment services in speech and language including articulation, phonology, oral motor function, expressive language, voice, laryngectomy, fluency, language/learning difficulties, post stroke rehabilitation. Swallowing: modified barium swallow study, chewing difficulties, swallowing disorders. Hearing: comprehensive audiologic testing, pure tone testing, speech reception testing, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, hearing aid evaluation, vestibular/ balance testing ENG, newborn hearing testing, otoacoustic emissions, central audiology difficulties, tinnitus and auditory training.

Offers a public education to children who are residents at the Cottage, and those receiving day treatment, and focuses the curriculum to enhance their abilities and to graduate high school, and transition to the working work or to their community.

Teaches strategies for understanding, managing, and living with diabetes, including gestational diabetes.

Provides consultation, training and coordination to over 100 parish outreach centers. Convenes parish staff and volunteers for networking purposes. These supportive services are provided to supplement the parishes' ability to meet the various needs in their local communities. DIRECT SERVICE TO CLIENTS IS DONE BY LOCAL PARISH OUTREACH CENTERS.

A Special Act School District, provides a year round educational program for approximately 300 pupils in Grades K-12 who have emotional and/or learning disabilities.

Provides evaluations and therapeutic services to children who have shown developmental delays, along with school readiness programs.

Welcome Friends is a non-sectarian organization seeking to create a sense of community for neighbors affected by hunger and poverty by serving them with dignity and respect in safe, hospitable environments. Provides hot meals and sandwiches or groceries to go.

Offers a support group for caregivers of Alzheimer's patients.

A support group for individuals with brain injurIes, and their caregivers, to share experiences and ideas. Meets virtually and is led by a member of the Brain Injury Association of New York State.

Food pantry assisting those in need in the community.

Comprehensive child development program that provides educational experiences, nutritional meals, counseling and opportunities for parental involvement to help prepare low income children and children with disabilities succeed in school. Licensed child care center/Preschool special education.

Provides a re-accreditation program for professionals in substance/alcohol abuse counseling fields. Also offers a variety of other training programs for professionals. Trainings are OASAS (NYS Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services) approved for credit.
