This is a program for Veterans with PTSD, TBI, and other disabilities whereby they receive peer support from other Veterans trained in military behavioral health.

Offers labor market information regarding unemployment insurance including the process of filing claims, answers to inquiries regarding existing claims, information regarding job training programs, including those funded by the WIA (Workforce Investment Act), the Older Americans Act, the Senior Community Employment Opportunity Program, the Perkins Act, and the Federal Unemployment Tax Act. Provides information regarding programs for education and training, and referrals to local resources. Provides job search assistance, use of Resource Room which includes personal computers, job banks, resume software, a photocopier, fax machine, telephone bank, workstations, instructional videos, and a listing of employer job orders in the job bank. Offers legal assistance for seniors with problems involving Social Security, Medicare, and other benefit programs, landlord/tenant disputes, problems relating to the ownership of property, and problems which are not of a fee-generating nature.

Offers epilepsy support groups run by a social worker for working adults coping with the effects of epilepsy in work, social , and family life; young adults; parents and caregivers of children with epilepsy; a social group for adults with epilepsy and other intellectual/developmental disabilities; and a Suffolk Support Group for adults with epilepsy and their loved ones. Day Habilitation services are designed to help people of all ages with developmental disabilities to develop and maintain skills, abilities, and interests while being active members of their communities. Support individuals with independent living skill development, goal achievement and community involvement. Offers educational instruction, as well as opportunities for social and recreational activities. Experiential learning opportunities and volunteering offered through community partnerships. Transportation available. Medication monitoring. Preauthorization for Day Habilitation Services is done through OPWDD.

Hamaspik operates 16 group residences known as IRAs (Individual Residential Alternatives). Individuals with developmental disabilities are placed fully equipped homes which represent a more practical alternative and provides the client with a normal and controlled family atmosphere.
