Whether you’re interested in greeting and directing visitors or assisting with various other tasks, NYU Langone’s Volunteer Services can match you with the right opportunity. NYU Langone volunteers commit to a single four-hour shift per week, for a minimum of nine consecutive months. As a general rule, hospital volunteers are required to maintain a regular schedule, working on the same day, at the same time, every week. Provides financial support for breast cancer patient's medical bills, nutritional holistic healing (acupuncture), free monthly zoom workshops. Fund mammograms for early breast cancer detection. Also provides support groups, free monthly workshops, cooking classes with nutritionist, yoga, meditation, and marriage ceremonies.

Partnering with Catholic Health and the Suffolk County Department of Labor, the Clinical Medical Assisting Program provides students with a great opportunity to earn a certificate and enter a rewarding healthcare occupation. This is a seven-and-a-half month program. The program includes: Administrative training on day-to-day activities in a medical setting, such as speaking with patients, scheduling their appointments, processing insurance forms and electronic medical record management; Clinical training on what happens with patients in the examination room, such as checking vitals, documenting information, obtaining labs and providing education and an 80 hours onsite in a medical office, ambulatory center, or hospital department externship. Provides an inpatient detoxification program to help individuals who are physically dependent on alcohol and or drugs during the withdrawal period, including the use of support and medication if needed.
