Provides national efforts to locate and recover missing children and raises public awareness about ways to prevent child abduction, molestation, and sexual exploitation as well as offering child safety information and literature on various topics. Inspects workplace environments to make sure that buildings are safe and have a good working area for employees. Investigates complaints of health and safety violations/hazards in the workplace. Also educates employers and employees on the safe and hazard-free work spaces and the rules to follow based on the type of work facility.

Provides a high school diploma program for pregnant and parenting teens throughout Nassau County in a small, structured, nurturing environment. Classes are one to one and in small groups and require some level of motivation on the part of the student. Support services are provided including case management services and advocacy. PINS provides a diversion program for youth who have become involved with the law due to at risk behaviors or becoming arrested for minor crimes.

Investigation of fraud, potential fraud, or questionable areas within the SNAP eligibility programs of the Department of Social Services.

Support and education for grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their young grandchildren.

Provides basic services including home visits, furniture, clothing, food and occasionally financial support.

Day Habilitation serves individuals, 21 and older with developmental disabilities Day Habiltation is a community outreach program where specially trained individuals with developmental disablilities provide local non-profit organizations with community service.
