Services are designed to meet the needs and interests of older adults, caregivers and professionals working with the elderly including Computer Basics for Seniors, Senior Advocate, AARP defensive driving course, and Homebound Services. Offers two programs: LSVT – BIG (physical therapy) and LSVT – LOUD (Speech Therapy). Four-week outpatient treatment programs, which has been scientifically and clinically verified to improve the movement patterns, balance, walking, speech, voice and overall quality of life of patients with Parkinson's disease or other neurological disorders.

Offers a package of non-perishable food for low-income individuals and families in the local community, and also delivers food to those who are homebound in the community. The Ossining Food Pantry also sponsors and operates the Feeding Westchester mobile food truck at Star of Bethlehem Church (304 Spring Street).

Offers a day camp with a variety of organized programs and activities, and the traditional overnight camping experience with tenting, outdoor cooking, campfires, hiking, swimming and boating. All girls (scouts and non-scouts) are welcome to participate.

Provides information, referral, assessments and evaluations for children with suspected delays in physical, cognitive, language or emotional development. Services also provided in case management, parent/family training, support groups, early intervention programs, preschool services, school age services and evaluations, clinical services for children 0-21 years old. Provides opportunities for individuals, groups and organizations who would like to volunteer. There are several programs that might be interesting for individuals or groups, or if students need to do community service for school credit, volunteer opportunities are available at all site locations.

Provides information, assistance on guidelines and an appeal process for managed care health plans. Receives complaints about the quality of health care services received from a managed care plan.

The building department monitors new building conditions and construction, and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Also enforces the state and local building codes, housing standards and ordinances, to the review of applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses, in addition to electrical and plumbing work. The building department accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Offers education and public awareness about child abuse in a variety of methods, including online resources, brochures, and info cards, teaching about issues leading to child abuse and its prevention.

Provides inspection, installation and education of child safety seats.

Provides foster homes for children who are legally removed from their home of origin by the courts.

Provides Information, including online resources and referrals for grandparents and relatives, who are caring for children outside of the foster care system, about their rights as kinship caregivers, kinship law, financial assistance and other services they may need.

Processes applications for a variety of health insurance programs including Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, Family Health Plus (FHP), and Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), Family Planning Benefits Program (FPBP), Baby/Adult Diaper Assistance, Medicaid Buy-In for Working People with Disabilities (MBI-WPD), and the Medicare Savings Program (MSP). Also provides transportation for Medicaid recipients requiring Medicaid-covered services.

Maintains information on recycling stations for certain household materials, chemicals, etc., and curbside pick-ups for recyclable materials and other items.

Provides spiritual guidance, religious services and support for their congregation. Also provides various cultural and educational programs. Call for additional information.

Offers free counseling, pregnancy tests, STD tests and sonograms to pregnant women.

Sells affordably priced clothing and housewares for shoppers of limited means. If special arrangements need to be made or there is an emergency please call the Rector. Please call to verify the shop is open before visiting if bad weather.

Provides treatment for a diverse mix of acute behavioral, emotional, and substance abuse problems. All treatments begin with a comprehensive assessment, including psychiatric, physical, and psychosocial components. Treatment is based on a proved behavior modification system and therapeutic rehabilitation for lasting results.

Offers disaster-relief funds for individuals and families to prevent homelessness due to fire, natural disaster or condemnation of a building, including illegal immigrants who are not eligible for local or federal relocation grants.

Educates students within the school district boundary.

This service is held one Saturday per month for five hours. It is intended for children 3 to 12 years of age. This program includes outdoor play, small group and individual activities. it is an integrated program for typically developing and disabled children. No fee for OPWDD respite approved children and sliding fee for other cases.

Peer facilitated psychosocial club for seriously and persistently mentally ill adults focused on socialization and empowerment. Members are invited to drop in for any of the gatherings. Offerings include but are not limited to: participation in community events, games, videos and crafts in a relaxed atmosphere designed to encourage interaction and reduce isolation. Transportation assistance is available when possible.
