Provides meaningful and functional activities for older individuals who need a change of pace. In an atmosphere that encourages older individuals to maintain and even enhance their quality of life, Senior Day Habilitation offers a unique experience where content is directed by the participants. Individuals choose activities which include arts and crafts, bingo, golf and a variety of community integration experiences. Most participants in the program have retired from other types of programs. The services provided help maintain their independence, productivity and sense of responsibility. A focus on nutritional routines that meet the changing needs of the elderly; the maintenance of good hygiene and grooming; attention to good health and exercise; and the development of interest and participation in a broad range of activities. Individuals receive clinical services such as nursing, psychology, and occupational, physical, and speech therapy.

Serving veterans who were previously homeless, who are transitioning into permanent housing from VA or non-VA emergency or transitional housing programs. Available services include assessment, plan development, identifying available resources, advocacy, contact and communication, and coordination of services. Referrals can be made if a veteran has not yet moved into identified permanent housing, or if they have been living in permanent housing and are at risk of losing the housing. Veterans eligible to enroll in this program must qualify for VA services and cannot be receiving case management services from any other program, i.e., HUDVASH, SSVF, Care Coordination.

Monitors new building conditions and construction and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Enforces the state and local building codes and housing standards and ordinances. Reviews applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses. Accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

Housing is provided for eligible homeless applicants. Hotel vouchers are granted only when the county shelter is full. Collaboration of agencies provide these services (Ex. Catholic Charities, DSS).

The Case Management program is designed to serve severely and persistently mentally ill and seriously emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. This 24-hour-a-day program provides aggressive outreach and support to individuals who either overuse emergency room and inpatient services or drop out of services. A separate team serves children at risk of hospitalization or placement. The program has the capacity to provide wrap around services. Access is by referral from an outpatient treatment program.

Care coordinators provide practical guidance and support to people with mental illness, chemical addiction or chronic physical illness. They help people avoid hospitalization and achieve their goals by linking them to necessary services in the community including treatment, entitlements, housing, education and vocational development.

Offers a wide range of licensing, records, and informational services to town residents. Licensing and permits include marriage licenses, hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, dog licenses, block party permits, peddler/solicitor licenses, and racing/wagering licenses. Other services include processing passport applications as well as maintaining town records and archives. ? Prepares and collects property taxes for residents of the Town of Ancram from January through March 31st. After March 31st all paperwork goes to the Columbia County Treasurer's Office. ?

Provides nutrition screening, specific supplemental foods, and nutrition education to program participants. Eligible WIC participants include women who are pregnant or breast-feeding, infants from birth to one year, and children from ages 1 to 5 years.
