Course offerings include: Hospitality Management; Facilities Planning and Design; Food and Beverage Operations; Fundamentals of Food Production; Food and Beverage Merchandising; Hospitality Human Resources; Food Services Cost Analysis; Advance Food Preparation Technique; Food and Beverage Operations Research Seminar and Hospitality Internship. These courses are identical to those currently offered in the Restaurant Management Degree Program in Hotel/Restaurant. Credit for them would apply toward the degree should the student elect to continue into the second year and matriculate for the degree. Courses vary each semester. A legal back-up center for advocates from social service agencies, religious organizations, health care facilities and other community-based agencies. The Center's Helpline provides phone support to community advocates so they may effectively assist their clients in welfare, housing, access to health care, disability issues, and other legal matters. The LSCA also publishes an educational newsletter and an e-news service. LSCA also hosts many successful seminars, meetings and training events each year.

Home modification refers to adaptations to the home environment to increase ease of use, safety, comfort, security, and independence. Major modifications include ramps, roll-in showers, and lowered countertops. Minor modifications include grab bars, widened doorways, better lighting, hand-held showers, and lever door handles.

Our Hampton Bays Outpatient Program utilizes a person-centered approach to help individuals develop their own goals toward recovery. Srvice delivery includes comprehensive assessments, individual counseling, group counseling,DWI assessments and treatment, nursing assessments, peer services, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and medication- assisted treatment. The program also provides a track of treatment for family members, friends, and significant other who are directly affected by the addiction of their loved ones. All of these services are also provided in Spanish.

Offers support and rehabilitation services to women facing breast cancer. Provides telephone support by trained volunteers who themselves have had breast cancer.

Operates an 18-bed shelter to provide emergency housing for Adults and their children who are victims of domestic violence, or sexual assault. Residents participate in individual and group counseling, skills training and parenting education programs. Residents are also provided legal advocacy and assistance in obtaining any public assistance or entitlements.

DSMP workshops are free to attend, and are designed for people who have Type 2 Diabetes and receive Medicaid, and meet once a week for 2.5 hours, for six weeks.LHVPN and the WMC Health PPS have partnered with six organizations in the Hudson Valley to offer Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) workshops. These organizations include CLUSTER, Inc. (Yonkers), Yonkers Community Action Program (YCAP, Yonkers), Open Door Family Medical Centers (Westchester County), Konbit Neg Lakay (Spring Valley), Meals on Wheels Programs and Services of Rockland (Nyack), and Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. (Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan).

Monitors new building conditions and construction and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Enforces the state and local building codes and housing standards and ordinances. Reviews applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses. Accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

The Andrus mental health clinics provide services to children, adolescents, adults and multi-stressed families with children needing psychiatric and therapeutic intervention.

HIICAP educates the public about Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, EPIC , and other health insurance issues . Assists people with Medicare to access needed health care and apply for programs such as the Medicare Savings Program. Provides information or direction to individuals who may be having problems with their health insurance or simply are in need of a Medicare Part D prescription plan.
