Employee Assistance Programs provide education, counseling, and support to employees of contract companies and their immediate family. These services are designed to assess individual and family concerns, emotional needs, addiction issues, financial, and legal concerns and direct employees to appropriate care providers. Often, brief therapy is included as a component of these services.

Food boxes are delivered by friends or family of behalf of the individual in need. Volunteers are not provided. Schedules households with people who cannot attend the food pantry because they are home-bound or lack transportation.

Provides immunizations of various forms, such as those to prevent disease, school requirements, and those needed when traveling outside of the country.

Collects all monies and fines related to parking violations issued in the City of Albany and conducts hearings to accept pleas and determine the disposition of contested Notices of Violations (tickets). The bureau also manages and stores all records and data pertaining to parking violations.

Assists individuals with filing complaints and investigates problems regarding food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, tobacco, and biologic-based items. If any of these item are purchased and cause harm, have adverse effects which have not be fore-warned, or other problems occur due to seller or manufacturer error or neglect.

Day habilitation program is for older individuals to continue life skills training and get them to reach their highest level of independence.

Provides free, compassionate care for veterans and military families who are experiencing the long-term effects of all phases of military service and other life stresses, including relationship difficulties, school problems, and unemployment and relocation issues. We welcome veterans, including anyone who has served in the United States Armed Services, regardless of role, discharge status, or combat experience, as well as members of the National Guard and Reserve. We also extend our services to the parents, siblings, spouses and partners, children, caretakers, and other family members of active-duty personnel, veterans, and members of the National Guard or Reserve. Sample Military Family Center Programs & Services include: post-traumatic stress; traumatic brain injury; depression; anxiety; alcohol and substance use disorder; grief and loss; relationship and family conflict; military sexual trauma; readjustment issues; parenting concerns and children’s behavioral or academic problems. In addition to general clinical programs, we offer the following specialty programs: Online Doctor Visits; Psychiatric Medication Management; Dual Diagnosis Program; Traumatic Brain Injury Program; Child and Family Program, Couples Therapy and ADHD Assessments. Provides a full service adoption agency that offers recruitment, orientation, and training of families for waiting children, intensified placement services, crisis intervention, post adoption services, pregnancy outreach and counseling, infant adoptions, community education on child welfare issues, advocacy, and staff trainings. Offers several home care and long term care programs, depending on eligibility and care needs, to individuals who require assistance at home due to age, illness, post hospitalization, or disability.

Workshops, events and clubs for school age children, tweens and teens throughout the year.

Offers support to persons and couples with impaired fertility as well as the professionals that serve them. Supports the decision of legal and medical means to build families as well as the decision to remain child free. Guides couples through medical treatment and/or the adoption process.

This group offers support and education for adults who have been diagnosed with diabetes.

Provides a free public education to youth in grades 7th through 12th within the school district boundary.

Offers support services, including information and referrals for specific needs, for women who have resumed their education at Westchester Community College.
