Catholic Charities housing department provides seniors who meet income guidelines with the opportunity for safe and affordable housing and access to a supportive network of services. The program currently operates 16 housing facilities in Nassau and Suffolk counties, totaling more than 1329 units. In addition to providing safe, affordable apartments, Catholic Charities housing department works to ensure the physical, social, and spiritual well-being of residents. Dedicated staff arrange social and educational events at the sites, identifying seniors needs, and help them access for which they are eligible.

The Greene County Department of Human Services Nutrition Program allows seniors to remain independent in their homes while maintaining good nutrition. Home Delivered Meals are provided to those individuals deemed eligible. Volunteers deliver these meals Monday through Friday (except holidays) throughout Greene County. This program provides seniors the opportunity to improve and/or maintain their nutrition, health status, and quality of life while remaining in their home. Each senior service center serves a noon-time meal consisting of a hot entree, vegetable and fruit, bread and butter, low fat milk and a dessert. Substitutions are available for those on diabetic or low-salt diets. The Nutrition Education Program provides a registered dietitian who does nutritional education on a one-on-one counseling level if needed by clients.

Travel Activity Club provides recreational opportunities that promote positive integration into the community. The activities, which include but are not limited to movies, shopping, library, Meals on Wheels and community events, are selected and planned by Hudson House members.
