Offers an outpatient treatment-referral program designed to serve individuals between the ages of 12 and 35 who are at risk or who have been sexually exploited/human trafficked, at-risk of sexual exploitation/human trafficking, runaway or are homeless. Services provided include individual and family counseling, street outreach, GED classes, DSS advocacy, life skills education, housing assistance, and education and job placement and are tailored to meet all the needs of each individual utilizing services.

Shelter services include crisis intervention, individual and group counseling for adults, individual counseling for children, parenting support groups, case management, advocacy, legal intake services, recreational activities and transportation. S.A.T.I. has been pioneering the campaign against human trafficking from the correctional standpoint by establishing a comprehensive and effective response to the crime. The unit works in collaboration with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies by developing and forwarding intelligence gleaned from the correctional facility setting. In addition, they refer victims and work closely with advocacy groups in efforts to assist the victims on their road to recovery. The principal objectives are to ensure that all victims of human trafficking who pass through our facility are identified, have access to the services they need to recover, and are supported throughout their long-term journey as survivors. The Suffolk County Sheriff's Office has designated teams of officers in our Human Trafficking Unit tracking activity within our Correctional Facilities as well as in the community. Brighter Tomorrows offers short-term counseling to survivors of domestic violence and their children (age 5+). These therapeutic sessions offer survivors hope, facilitate their healing, and foster personal empowerment. Our counseling services are available to both mandated and voluntary clients and are free of charge. Counseling services are provided at residential and non-residential facilities, as well as virtually.
