Provides behavioral and educational consultation and support to individuals, families, and professionals based upon them principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our consultation services and trainings are designed to teach those who support individuals with autism and other special needs (school and agency personnel, family members/caregivers, community members) by providing effective education, training, and support within the frameworks of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Our Autism Supportive Environment program provides training and assistance to businesses and community organizations in designing environments which are more supportive for individuals with autism and other special needs and their families/caregivers.

SAIL provides short-term case management and service coordination services, as well as linkage and referral to other service systems (DOH, OMRDD, OMH, etc.) Center staff will assist with eligibility determinations and gathering the necessary documentation to access funded case management and service coordination services.

Offers a center-based full day program to 5 - 21 year old people with autism/PDD. The goal of the program is to help the person with autism achieve his or her full potential. Programming includes goals in communication academics, social skills, self-help skills, and the promotion of adaptive behavior.

Services include case management, information and referral, recreation, assistive technology, respite, and outpatient rehabilitation for people with developmental disabilities.

Provides education and technical assistance to families and educators of children and adolescents who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Also offers information regarding best practices and evidence-based practices are the focus of presentations.

The center staff is exceptionally knowledgeable concerning community-based services and supports, including supports available through local, state, and federal agencies. Hudson Valley Health Specialties, Inc. and Ulster Rehabilitation Clinic: Services include primary medical care, psychiatric, dental, vision, and psychology as well as speech, occupational and physical therapies among others. Also offers specialized autism training and services.

Provides workshops to parents and care takers who are looking for guidance and legal advice involved with Special Needs.Promotes inclusion and provides anti-bullying presentations to schools. Call for further information

YAI LINK is the intake, information and referral unit for the YAI/NIPD Network. Intake specialists answer questions and make referrals for all YAI/NIPD Network Services, and provide comprehensive info on what is available in Rockland and Hudson Valley region. They also make presentations to parents, professionals and school groups on the range of services available to people with developmental disabilites.

Serves youngsters ages 5-18 who are diagnosed as having a severe emotional disorder and who need extensive psychiatric support. Diagnostic categories include, but are not limited to: attention deficit, anxiety, schizophrenia, paranoia and affective autism spectrum disorders. Services include 6:1:1 or 8:1:1 placement with appropriate support staff at the Sayville Academic Center and 8:1:1 placement with appropriate support staff at the Sequoya High School and Jefferson Academic Center. Psychiatric, rehabilitation, social work, and psychological services are offered. Students who no longer need intense psychiatric support can remain at their respective centers and receive counseling from Eastern Suffolk BOCES staff.

Provides a residential and day school, including health and rehabilitation services for children and young adults with Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism, PDD, down syndrome, senfilippo (Pervasive Developmental Disabilities), orthopedic or neurological impairments, or with other developmental and physical disabilities.

SAIL provides information and assistance concerning long term care planning for individuals with disabilities, family members, and other interested parties. Information and assistance is provided for establishing Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, Supplemental Needs Trusts, and accessing long term care services. The center also provides insurance counseling and advisement for choosing the most appropriate coverage, as well as information concerning co-insurance and gap policies.

Medicaid Services Coordination provides support, advocacy and linkage to services for individuals who have developmental disabilities.

Provides planning, coordination and oversight of case management services for developmentally disabled adults and children. Also provides a diversion program for developmentally disabled individuals who have been arrested, or have engaged in at risk behavior which has involved the police.

Provides family support with information and referrals to one or all of the follow services: family and individual counseling, family-member training, recreation, camps, after-school programs, transportation, sibling services, support groups, and service coordination.

Provides assistance to Medicaid eligible individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to access resources and services within the community, along with coordinating the necessary services, and to navigate the system to get benefits and other entitlements.

Provides individual counseling to children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders who would benefit from working with a skilled clinician in a one-to-one setting. The issues addressed depend on the needs of the client, and on the challenges of living with autism. Also offers parent discussions groups and counseling looking for support in raising a child with autism.

Provides support for adults and children with a diagnosis on the Autism spectrum; individuals who have unique needs and a need for individualized supports. Activities include evidence based interaction and communication tools through specialized training for staff and families in Autism Spectrum Disorders, positive behavior supports, social cognition supports, sensory swim, movement therapy, assessments and supports for sensory challenges, and visual supports.

Provides a variety of support services for families with a child diagnosed with autism, including care management, and are at different stages of their life. Helps parents who are learning to cope with autism for the first time, or parents whose children are older, for siblings, grandparents, and caregivers.

Special education preschool program serving children ages 3-5 with a personalized approach to learning. Physical, therapy and speech therapy available to eligible children. Child Counseling, and Parent Counseling and Training. Services for children with autism. Our program is also enriched by expansive indoor and outdoor play areas, a considerable therapy area, along with and a sensory room.

Offers a 10 week session to promote positive peer relationships among children with an autism spectrum disorder and/or a developmental disability. The sessions are comprised of role playing, emotional recognition, social stories and scripting. This is a private pay program and the fee is based upon the families yearly income.
