It connects visitors with the pioneering legacies of Pollock and Krasner through seasonal tours, exhibitions, events, and programs. The Pollock-Krasner House is open to the public on a seasonal basis from May through October. Visitation is by reservation only. They offer both guided and self-guided tours Thursdays through Sundays. Guided tours are hosted by one of our knowledgeable docents. Self-guided tours offer visitors the opportunity to explore the site and our exhibitions at their own pace with the aid of audio and text guides. Houses a Playhouse which is an 1105 seat, proscenium-style theater that serves the University, as well as the surrounding community, as the premier cultural venue on the Hofstra Campus. Not only the site for many of Hofstra’s finest theatrical, musical, dance, and lecture events, the venue is also, as the schedule allows, provides as a rental house for local, national, and international productions, conferences, performing arts companies, lectures, school events, and church groups. The Department of Theater Facilities is a small, dedicated staff of professionals committed to providing our University and rental clients with exceptional advice, assistance, and support to ensure that every event at the Adams Playhouse, from the simplest podium-based lecture to the most lavish of musicals, is a resounding success.
