For the past 50+ years, the Hofstra Cultural Center has invited members of the community to join us on campus for our programs, to learn and engage together. ArtsWestchester partners with schools and school districts to develop and implement programs that integrate the arts into the curricula, to use the arts as an instructional approach to improve teaching and learning, and to meet NYS standards in the arts and other subjects. ArtsWestchester also provides multi-session artist residencies to community sites and human service agencies including shelters, day-treatment programs and mental health facilities, Head Start Programs, and after-school programs. The programs are based on a multi-session residency model, enabling artists to partner with educators or site coordinators to establish goals plan and implement an arts-making project. Residencies are conducted by artists who apply for the Directory of Teaching Artists through a competitive process. Also identifies, documents and showcases cultural traditions of county residents through its Folk Arts Program.. In addition, ArtsWestchester owns and operates a nine-story cultural center, the Arts Exchange, in downtown White Plains, where it mounts exhibitions, presents cultural programs and concerts, and offers classes.

Buildings at the main site include: Rogers Mansion, Fordham and Elliston Paint Shop, Red Creek Schoolhouse, Boys and Girls outhouses, Nugent Carriage House, Carpenter's Shop, Blacksmith Shop, Hildreth's General Store, Bayman's Decoy Shed, Corn Crib, and Sayre Barn. Also part of the museum are the Conscience Point Historic Site and Nature Walk, The Pelletreau Silver Shop, and the Halsey House and Garden.
