The Andrus mental health clinics provide services to children, adolescents, adults and multi-stressed families with children needing psychiatric and therapeutic intervention.

Offers an outpatient treatment-referral program designed to serve individuals between the ages of 12 and 35 who are at risk or who have been sexually exploited/human trafficked, at-risk of sexual exploitation/human trafficking, runaway or are homeless. Services provided include individual and family counseling, street outreach, GED classes, DSS advocacy, life skills education, housing assistance, and education and job placement and are tailored to meet all the needs of each individual utilizing services.

Some of these programs include: Community Impact Team (student-driven community service club with projects ranging from food drives, supply drives for local shelters, etc.), Drop-In (recreational program designed to give youth a safe space to hang out with their friends, watch movies, play video games, listen to music, make art, etc.), Middle and High School Basketball (at Northport Middle School), Grandfriends (pairs Northport High School students with seniors living at Atria), and Arts and Crafts. Also receives in-house support services through the Huntington Youth Bureau which includes Drug and Alcohol Project (substance abuse counseling, referrals and education, crisis intervention), Sanctuary (emergency short-term housing for homeless youth and their families), Project Excel (GED preparation, vocational counseling, job placement), Youth Court, and a crisis hotline. There are three forms of counseling done at the Haverstraw Center through the Reachout program: individual, family and group counseling.

A CCBHC is a community-based clinic that offers integrated mental health and substance use care, along with crisis services and care coordination. Instead of navigating multiple systems, individuals can receive support through a single, connected team. Provides comprehensive mental health and substance use services for children, adolescents, adults, and families, all in one place. Services include but are not limited to:

• Individual, family, and group counseling
• Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
• Substance use treatment, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
• Integrated mental health and substance use care
• Crisis support, including walk-in and same-day services when available
• Care coordination and peer support
• Trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies

Translation services and telehealth services available.

Provides mental health and psychiatric medication management services for children, adolescents, and adults provided by NYS licensed therapists. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are available for consultation and medication management for clients enrolled in therapy. Therapists specialize in providing counseling for people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, sexual abuse, adjustment issues, family conflict, school problems, issues related to divorce, adoption, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, and other mental health diagnoses. Therapists are trained in evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Mental health services are also provided for adults and children who have a mental health disorder as a primary diagnosis and who may have a concurrent substance abuse disorder which is stabilized or in early remission. Collaborates with established OASAS licensed treatment providers to ensure that the mental health treatment needs of recovering substance abuse clients are met, to provide support for the clients' recovery process, and to minimize symptoms and the potential for psychiatric decompensation, psychiatric hospitalization, or relapse of substance abuse. Provides in-office and telehealth appointments--when clinically appropriate. All initial appointments must be completed in person.

The Youth and Family Counseling Division is a NYS Article 31 Outpatient Mental Health Clinic that provides services to children, youth and families. Formal individual counseling services are offered, as well as group counseling.
