"Our Space" is a social model of adult day services established in 1987 for Nassau County residents over the age of 60 who are frail and memory impaired. Volunteers also provide one-to-one attention to our program participants, such as reading a book, taking a person for a walk, or simply serving as a "big brother or big sister." A volunteer is selected on the basis of individual interest, skill, and experience.
