Provides information and assistance to all parrot owners regarding proper nutrition, handling and the routine maintenance of psittacines (parrots). Also seek to encourage the advancement of avian medical research, captive breeding programs and informational services. Assists in the adoption of parrots. Meetings are held the first Friday of the month at Touch of Italy, 355 Broadway, Amityville.

Encourages expansion of recreational opportunities for dogs and their owners and development of a dog-friendly environment in the area.Instrumental in establishing "Ithaca Dog Park," a fenced, off-leash area off Route 89 North, slightly beyond Cass Park, just north of Allan Treman State Marine Park and behind the Hangar Theater. Although part of a state park, there are NO entrance or parking fees.Park guidelines include: leash dogs in parking lot and on lands adjacent to park dogs must wear a current dog license tag and be current with all vaccinations dog owners/handlers must clean up their dog's waste immediately.
