Day Habilitation Program operates under the OMRDD's Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). The programs serve people with a wide range of intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Day habilitation services help individuals achieve satisfying and rewarding connections and relationships within their communities. Services and supports revolve around the assumption that each person is a member of the community. The day habilitation program uses consumer skill acquisition and staff support to help people build relationships, to participate in the community, and to experience work and volunteerism. Volunteer work assignments allow individuals to contribute to their communities as well as to enhance and strengthen skills necessary for supported employment.
