One of the largest hospital based programs in the Northeast, using Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), allowing patients to manage their lymphedema using a non-invasive treatment program. Lymphedema screenings are held throughout the year. The Center also offers an early detection program for patients at the Fortunato Breast Health Center. • Diabetes Prevention Program: For those with prediabetes or at high risk for type 2 diabetes. A year long program focused on implementing lifestyle changes to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
• Diabetes Counseling: For individuals with prediabetes or diabetes. Provides one-on-one visits with a diabetes care and education specialist to discuss individual needs and support.
• Diabetes Self-Management Classes: For any individual with diabetes. Classes focus on the fundamentals of diabetes self-management, covering topics such as understanding diabetes, blood sugar monitoring, nutrition and exercise, acute and chronic complications, and diabetes medications.
• Diabetes Support Group: For any individual with diabetes and those supporting them. Meets once every other month to share struggles, celebrate successes, and discuss topics related to diabetes management.
