Offers an amazing public high school program that has transformed the lives of young emerging artists from across Long Island through both its high school and summer programs. LIHSA is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Under New York State’s “4+1” pathway assessment option, students must take and pass four required Regents Exams or Department Approved Alternative assessments and complete a comparably rigorous pathway to meet the fifth assessment requirement for graduation. Students can now do this with completion of the Career and Technical Education-approved exam and the core sequence of classes at LIHSA. Courses are offered in Performing Arts; Visual & Digital Arts; Scenic Construction & Production Technologies; Sonic Arts; Game Design; Multimedia Journalism; 3D Animation and Expressive Arts and Human Development. Our 38,000 square feet of studios and workshops across three buildings are filled with professional workspaces and facilities. We have four dance studios on campus, a larger theatre that holds 350 audience members with lighting and sound equipment, two smaller black box theatres, a recording studio, numerous classroom spaces, practice rooms, art studios, film editing room, darkroom, digital music space and a carpentry shop for scenic design. Oversees 12 acres of park that include Softball fields, Little League fields, Tennis courts, Playground, All Children's Playground, picnic area, Handball Courts, Basketball Court, Skateboard Park, and Soccer/Football fields. The Center provides a wide array of classes in dance, music, fitness/wellness, theater, spoken word, computer arts technology and the visual arts. These classes are offered after school, evenings and weekends at our main site in midtown Kingston. A homework and tutoring center is also available. Programs include S.P.I.C.E, a year round project for low income women and their children (provides childcare at the center if needed to participate) with a special focus on women of color.

Teens in the Teen Program are able to participate in a variety of local and national programs along with an assortment of activities and events offered and organized by local universities. We hope that by participating in various programs, our teens will discover their potential and possibilities for the future.

An inclusionary therapeutic dance/movement program for individuals with developmental, physical, and intellectual disabilities. Instructors and qualified volunteer dance partners work with students in a dance studio studying technical and adaptive forms of classical and contemporary dance styles (tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, creative movement). Innovative non-ambulatory program for dancers in wheelchairs. Day hab classes available for adults enrolled in area day treatment and day hab programs. Annual dance recital held in May. Provides sessions in a safe, non-threatening environment for individuals to grow and develop their personal potential. Instruction focuses on the fundamentals of movement, expanding each individual's natural kinesthetic repertoire and studying a dance style in modified or technical form. The season culminates in an annual May production featuring dancers accompanied by a supporting cast of high school and college interns. The production is open to the public and tickets can be purchased on the website.

Offers a summer camp and school year breaks sessions which focus on activities in art, drama, aquatics, gymnastics and dance for children, including those with a range of developmental disabilities.

Provides dance instruction as part of the Youth Development/Delinquency Prevention Program (YDDP). Participants learn salsa, merengue, cumbia, and other forms of Spanish dance. Participants will perform at Circulo's Holiday Show in December and Mother's Day show in May.
