Facilities include pools, bathhouses, band shell, 2-mile boardwalk, 2-mile health walk, 4-mile bike path, boat basin, 4-finger piers, bait station, surf casting, picnic areas, 4 basketball courts, 22 shuffleboard courts, 8 volleyball courts, paddle tennis, equipment rentals, pitch-putt golf, 2 softball fields, food stands, boardwalk restaurant(new construction pending), ice cream parlor, and exhibits. Lifeguards available, hours and dates vary. Summer events include New York Air Show, a volleyball tournament, an Independence Day fireworks program, Summer Run Series and Pitch Putt Tournament. Empire Passport accepted no pets allowed. The Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center contains, interior and exterior environmental exhibits, a butterfly garden, and children activities.
