St. Rose of Lima's Parish Social Ministry offers many groups geared toward support and socialization, such as a food pantry, bereavement groups, Meals on Wheels, Respect Life, etc.

Adopt-A-Family program allows people who want to provide personalized holiday assistance, to select a family of any size, and provide the family's wish list. This program also accepts donations of gift cards that can be used for food, gas or movies.

The Mobile Food Pantry program offers, free food and clothing to those in need at ten distribution sites across Suffolk County. Program locations in Bellport, Centereach, Islandia, Middle Island, Patchogue, Port Jefferson Station, Riverhead, Rocky Point, Ronkonkoma, and Shirley. During Thanksgiving season LighHouse Mission provides food assistance for families in need at its Mobile Food pantry sites. Astor accepts donations of new toys, for children who are served by Astor Services. Toys can be wrapped, with a tag stating the toy's description of age and gender. Toys are distributed to families already participating in programs offered by Astor Services.
