Assists youth and adults to succeed in the workforce by encouraging self-sufficiency, familiarizing them with the world of work, facilitating the creation of job opportunities, and providing services related to these activities. Provides training in bagging, labeling, collating and all aspects of packaging and assembly leading to employment for people with disabilities, ages 16 and up. Placement services offered and speech/communication, occupational therapy and psychological services available. No income restrictions. Goals for individuals in the program are to: improve functioning, reduce inpatient utilization, reduce emergency services, reduce contact with the criminal justice system, increase employment, attain higher levels of education, and secure preferred housing.

Also offers evaluation, crisis intervention, referral, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual, group and family therapy, vocational evaluation, vocational counseling, activities therapy and toxicology testing.

This 14-16 month program is made up of three phases. During the Crisis Phase, which lasts 6-8 weeks, individuals live in home-like atmospheres, sharing work assignments and are introduced to curriculum, Bible Studies, and Christian lifestyles. In the Induction Phase, which runs 4-5 months, students complete the 14 Group Studies for New Christians' and Character Quality classes. During this phase discipline and order are taught through the development and application of Christian Principles. Upon completion of the Induction Phase, male students complete the program at either the Long Island Center or the Training Center in Rehrersburg, Pennsylvania where they continue Bible Studies, attend workshops, and are provided vocational training opportunities. Female students continue the program at the main site Ladies Residence.

Consists of a collection of integrated education and counseling services designed to facilitate the successful re-entry of ex-offenders into society. Re-ROUT strives to reduce the recidivism rate of criminal offenders who have completed a period of incarceration and/or probation in Suffolk County. Realizing that the first few weeks post-release can be crucial to a successful transition process, participants are encouraged to make contact with the Re-ROUT office located on the BOCES Ward Technical Center campus in Riverhead as soon as possible after release. There, the ex-offender is introduced to the Re-ROUT services. In the weeks that follow, the Re-ROUT office offers the needed services, referrals and support to aid the client's reintegration. New York Probation Officers and Correction Officers inform probationers and prisoners about the Re-ROUT Program during the initial orientation sessions. As part of the In-Jail Education Program, the Re-ROUT counselors work with the Probation Department and immediately help interested clients develop career/life/education plans. Upon release from the correctional facility and/or probation obligations, the ex-offender is invited to report to the Re-ROUT office at the Bixhorn Technical Center (BTC) in Bellport. There, the ex-offender is introduced to the Re-ROUT "outside" counseling staff. In the weeks that follow, this staff provides the needed services, referrals and support to aid their client's reintegration into society.
