Provides wrap around services and temporary financial assistance(TFA). The services offered include, but are not limited to, emergency housing referrals, assistance searching for housing, connection to local, state and federal benefits, employment and training services, financial literacy services, budget advisory, rental and arrears assistance, utility arrears, security deposits, storage and moving costs, temporary financial assistance and connection to child care providers.

Provides quality service and advocacy for New York State veterans, armed forces members, their dependents and survivors, ensuring they receive benefits granted by law for their service to New York and the nation. Some of the services provided include: Career Assessment, Referral to Jobs, Contacting Employers on your behalf, Resume preparation assistance, Information on Federal, State and Local Civil Service Opportunities, Job Search Planning, Labor Market Information, Information on direct appointment to Civil Service positions and Referral to other agencies that provide services to veterans. Also available are representatives in your area specifically trained to assist veterans in transitioning from the military, finding a new job or starting a new career. Assists veterans in securing gainful employment by providing professional development and job training support services and matching their skill sets and qualifications with potential employers. Walk-ins welcome. Assistance available in Spanish.

Offer services to veterans of military service which include employer information, education, training and credentialing, as well as links to federal resources.

OWS provides employment services which focuses on retired or active veterans returning from a combat zone. Helps them with the process of transitioning back into the work force. Offers training programs, unemployment insurance information, cover letter and resume assistance workshops, and information and referrals for other services or resources in the community.

The Warren County Employment and Training is a one-stop comprehensive job assistance center offering access to job listings, apprenticeship opportunities, career planning and counseling, civil service, financial aid information, informational workshops, job fairs, job search assistance, labor market information, a resource room for job search, opportunities for individuals with disabilities, reading and writing help, reemployment services, referral to community resources, and help with resume writing.

Provides a myriad of supportive services to very low-income Veteran families who are residing in permanent housing, are homeless and scheduled to become residents of permanent housing within a specified time period, or after exiting permanent housing, are seeking other housing that is responsive to such very low-income veteran family's needs and preferences. Support services include personal financial planning services, income support services, legal services, housing search and counseling, vocational and rehabilitation services through the New York State Department of Labor, employment training through the Suffolk County One-Stop Employment Center, outreach services, peer support, case management services, assistance obtaining VA benefits and other public benefits.

Offers comprehensive job search and career assistance services. Offers Priority of Service to veterans and their eligible spouses. This means that persons who served on Active Duty in the United States Armed Forces will:

• Be served first by the next available staff member
• Get first priority for jobs and training for which they are eligible and qualified
