Special Career Education (SCE) creates opportunities for all students by providing them with the technical and academic skills needed to prepare for future employment and a successful path to college or other post-secondary programs. SCE provides technical training to prepare students for a successful career. The structured training gives students the tools needed to be successful in a job after high school and/or further post-secondary education. Provides help to individuals who have been diagnosed with mental health conditions and have had difficulty obtaining or maintaining competitive employment. The program assists people in finding employment, of their choice, in the community. Staff provide on or off-site job coaching and support to ensure that once employed, a person can learn the job duties, feel comfortable in the work environment, and have supportive relationships with supervisors and co-workers. When the person and the employer feel the employment situation is stable, an employment specialist can provide ongoing support.
