Provides quality job training and employment services leading to gainful employment and livable wages for unemployed or underemployed farmworkers. Farmworkers enrolled in the program also benefit from the following services:

Provides short, non-credit programs focused on helping unemployed, underemployed, and career changing individuals enter manufacturing careers (Welding, CNC/Machining, Industrial Maintenance Technician, BAS, HVAC etc.). Students who enter the programs do not need a high school diploma and the course fees are often entirely or partially covered by grants, scholarships and other funding sources. JCC Career Services will also support these students in their efforts to find a job. At the end of several programs, a workshop is held that leads students through resume building and interview skills. Workforce Development invites local manufacturing companies to interview students on campus at the end of some of the programs (welding, machining and industrial maintenance). Students have access to JCC Career Services for a year after the completion of their program.

Assists youth and adults to succeed in the workforce by encouraging self-sufficiency, familiarizing them with the world of work, facilitating the creation of job opportunities, and providing services related to these activities. Vocational rehabilitation provides HSED (formerly GED), career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations residing 20 miles of all Seneca Nation territories who have a documented disability. Tribal 477 provides HSED (formerly GED), training, career readiness workshops, vocational and classroom training, construction technology program, and work experience services for members of the Seneca Nation of Indians and other federally recognized Nations (and children of an enrolled Seneca father) residing 25 miles of the Cattaraugus, Allegany and Oil Springs territories.

NEW’s evening offering, NEW at Night (NAN), is a nine-week program geared towards giving women a well-rounded introduction to the building trades and hands on training experience with tools and building materials. NAN is offered for women who have daytime commitments.

Career Advancement and Training Grants: Connected education, training programs, and support services that enable individuals to secure a job or advance in an in-demand industry or occupation. Training grants available for in-demand occupations such as Nursing, HVAC, Machining, CDL, Mechanics, Accounting, and over 50 additional occupations. Provides work fare, intake and assessment, job readiness, resume preparation, job search, job training and mentoring, customer service training, and online TASC (GED) tutorial assistance.

Provides four weeks of targeted skills training at no charge to eligible applicants and connects participants directly with hiring employers in the community. Specialized training available for careers in technology at the Buffalo Career Center. Training topics include OSHA 10 (with certification), forklift operation, shop math, CyberSafe (with certification), financial literacy, resume building, and job interview skills with practice. Also provides access to a personalized Career Coach for up to three years.
