Family Planning Benefit Program is a direct Medicaid public health insurance program for individuals and families who need family planning services, with no premiums or co-pays for services. Program is intended to increase access to confidential family planning services and to enable individuals of any age and sex to prevent or reduce the incidence of unintended pregnancies. Dental hygiene clinic serving the public. Appointments are provided by dental hygiene students and supervised by faculty; sessions are approximately 3 hours in length to accommodate teaching. One or more appointments may be required and will include a combination of services. Treatment is provided based on the individual needs of the patient and will be determined during the initial exam. Free available services include:

Tuscarora Community Health Worker Program provides home-based case management services to participating women and their children and helps them overcome barriers to care. Workers help identify complicating factors that make it difficult for clients to access the care they need; assist in enrolling pregnant women into prenatal care and children into primary care; assist in enrolling for services such as WIC, Medicaid/PCAP and Child Health Plus; provide education on topics such as breastfeeding, baby care, lead poisoning, immunization, nutrition, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, and substance abuse; provide referrals to food pantries, housing assistance, educational programs, childcare, and other services; and provide support and help to overcome the barriers that prevent families from receiving a healthy start in life. Provides dental services, restorative dentistry, and dental cleanings to the public.

Provides comprehensive dental care for all ages. Services include:

• Preventive care (exams, cleanings, fluoride treatment, X-rays)
• Emergency care (extractions)
• Restorations (fillings, pins, bridges, crowns)
• Removable prosthetics (dentures, mouth guards, trays)
• Endodontic treatment (pulpectomies, root canals)

Provides primary health care and comprehensive dental care for all ages. Primary care includes back to school physicals, sick calls, annual physicals and wellness visits, immunizations, and chronic disease management. Dental care includes exams, cleanings and deep cleanings, fillings (composite and amalgam), teeth whitening, crowns/bridges, emergency care, dentures and partials, complicated extractions, and wisdom teeth removal.

Provides free, comprehensive dental treatment to people with disabilities as well as the elderly or medically fragile who cannot afford necessary treatment and cannot get public aid. Program operates through a volunteer network of dentists and dental labs across the United States, including participating dentists in Erie County.

Provides essential medical and emergency dental services. Medical services include both general and employment-related physical examinations, while dental services include dental hygiene, extractions, fillings, and X-Rays. We do not do crowns, partials, dentures, or braces.
