Provides behavioral and educational consultation and support to individuals, families, and professionals based upon them principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). New York State Commission for the Blind's (NYSCB) Business Enterprise Program (BEP) offers opportunities for individuals who are blind to gain the training and skills necessary to manage one of several vending facilities located in Federal and state office buildings throughout the state. After completing an intensive training program, BEP managers become proficient in all aspects of retail management including purchasing products, controlling inventory, marketing products, maintaining good customer relations, and keeping accurate records.

Offers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to read for pleasure and socialize in the community on a weekly basis.

The clinic offers routine United States-required adult immunizations for under-served residents based on eligibility. College students 19 and older are provided free vaccines, for example the MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) and polio vaccines.

The Well Child Clinic is a safety net service that provides well child examinations for children who are uninsured or underinsured or who have moved into the area and need a referral to a primary care provider. Blood lead level testing, WIC physical exams, hemoglobin testing, and immunization for vaccine-preventable diseases are offered. This service is for well children, not sick.

The Open Door Program assists people living in nursing homes and intermediate care facilities receive individualized home and community based services.The Transition Center helps people living in these facilities receive home and community based services. This includes information about the services and supports available in their local community. There are transition specialists at Independent Living Centers in counties all over New York State. Suffolk Independent Living Organization houses the Open Doors Transition Center and Peer Program for all of Long Island. Transition specialists will meet with you and/or your family members to identify what services you will need and help you in getting those services.Open Door's Peer Program is a group of people who have lived in a nursing home and intermediate care facility and are now receiving services and support locally available to them. Peers visit nursing homes and developmental centers to share their experiences with residents and support people who want to move to the community.
