Audiological services such as hearing tests and minor device repair (hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.) are provided on-site by licensed audiologists. Academic based "Specials," such as Art, Drama and Music are also offered. SMSD has a strong after school program that includes tutoring, sports and community based activities. A 5 day residential program is also available.

Provides a NYSED approved article 81 residential school for youth ages 5-21 years old. McMahon Children’s Center in Nassau County, Long Island. Small class sizes and student-centered instruction tailor each student’s education to his/her individual needs and abilities.
