Provides legal services, advice and assistance to persons receiving care or alleged to be in need of care at inpatient and community based facilities for individuals with mental disabilities.

Professional staff and trained volunteers monitor permanency plans for foster children and families involved in family court system. Cases assigned by Family Court Judges as needed.

Suspected abuse can also be reported online through a form.

Advocates represent Association on Alzheimer's-related issues to federal, state, and local government and to health care and long-term care providers. The benefit is to increase federal research funding, growth in state-supported services, and improvement in quality of care for those in residential facilities.
