Program serves disabled students, ages 11 through 21, who require highly intensive management needs due to conduct disorders. The program provides ongoing educational instruction that incorporates the Common Core Learning Standards. The services of a consulting psychiatrist are available for those conduct disordered students who also have psychiatric needs. In addition, strong emphasis is placed upon remedial instruction, vocational training and having each student's parents and family become part of the treatment. An after-school program is offered for students who are unable to attend a normal full-day school due to the students' disability(ies). This option is also suitable for students who are employed during the school day and who require after-school educational programming to complete their high school studies. Related services, support services and psychiatric consultation services are also offered for students who require these specialized services.

Offers workshop for children ages 5-8 and 9-12 (parents included). This program provides education and support to families. Topics include building healthy friendships, communication skills, understanding and expressing feelings, dealing with teasing and bullies, and more. Discussion groups, creative arts, games and hands-on activities are utilized to increase understanding and strengthen social skills. The Parent Component offers support and guidance to parents, and provides practical skills for helping their child in a variety of situations. The Parent Component meets at the same time the children's program runs.

Opens the doors for thousands of students to take an in-depth tour of both our Riverhead and Yaphank Correctional Facilities. The tours give a realistic, first-hand glimpse into the inner workings of our correctional facilities and what a daily life as a correction officer and justice-involved individuals looks like. YES Tours are a great fit for criminal justice classes or students interested in pursuing a career in the criminal justice field. Services include 24/7 hotline, confidential emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, court assistance and accompaniment, safety for pets left behind, transportation, translation and referrals to other services or resources that will be needed. Also provides multilingual and culturally focused services for lesbians, gays, Latinos, African-American, Asian, Haitian, and Jewish Orthodox.

Set up to conduct investigations, prosecute those who engage in violent acts against persons related to them or with whom they have an ongoing relationship spouse, boy/girlfriend, child, to prosecute those who physically and or sexually abuse children, and to investigate and prosecute all sex offenses regardless of the victim's age and/or relationship, or lack thereof, to the offender. It also offers support services to victims, including counseling and referral to shelters.
