The IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) / Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Program offers free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals. VITA/TCE sites offer free tax help to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including people who generally make $70,000 or less per year, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers. In-person and Virtual services are available to taxpayers through appointments only. Dates, times, and locations will vary, and taxpayers must complete the VITA/TCE Appointment application to be scheduled for an appointment.
