Financial education and workforce development to empower Black Long Islanders by addressing systemic economic disparities. Services include: Financial Coaching and Wealth Building Support (short and long-term savings planning, retirement and investment education, debt reduction and credit improvement strategies), Homeownership and Asset Building (guidance on qualifying for home loans and navigating the home-buying process (budgeting and savings plans to prepare for homeownership, support in overcoming historical housing discrimination barriers), Workforce and Career Development (job readiness training, interview preparation, and career advancement coaching, strategies for income growth and career mobility, employer partnerships to connect participants with higher-paying opportunities), Personalized Financial Planning (each participant receives a customized plan tailored to their unique financial situration and goals, one-on-one financial coaching sessions ensure ongoing support and guidance).

Offers a variety of resources, including online materials, for individuals struggling with overspending and the professionals in the community who help them.

PREP is a teen pregnancy prevention program for middle school-aged youth that uses evidence-based program models to educate youth on healthy decision-making patterns, abstinence and contraception, as well as adult preparatory subjects, which includes healthy relationships, financial literacy, effective parent-child communication, and college and career planning. PREP has an Advisory Board that is dedicated to helping through cross-collaborative partnerships (related to positive youth development work), program oversight, sustainability, and expansion opportunities for youth in Haverstraw and Spring Valley.

Provides education and tools that help people make smarter financial decisions that will improve their lives and strengthen their futures, at no cost to the organization and/or the employee, and clients. The program focuses on corporations, agencies and organizations, including those organizations that serve people with disabilities, seniors and domestic violence victims.

ACS provides classes on budget development & record keeping, consumer rights and obligations, complaint resolution, and individual budget and money management counseling.

Assists older adults 60 years old and over with services and resources to help them maintain the quality of life and independence that they have. Referrals may include health and wellness services, social enrichment activities, advocacy, case management, and home visits.

Provides personalized financial management and budgeting education classes to assist families in asset building and work towards financial independence. Programming includes linkages to community resources, creating a budget, meal planning and grocery shopping, and home energy savings tips.

The free TRIO EOC program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, hosted at SUNY Genesee Community College (GCC) provides free support to aid community members in applying to, funding and enrolling in further education. The purpose of the program is to help participants achieve their educational and career goals. Staff are knowledgeable and skilled in the fields of high school equivalencies, higher education applications and processes, state and federal financial aid, veteran and family-of-veteran education benefits, and scholarship opportunities available at the local, state, and national levels. Program offers individualized one-on-one appointments with highly-trained Outreach Specialists who can assist with:

• College and trade school applications
• Financial aid applications and scholarship searches
• High school equivalency options
• Career counseling and vocational training options
• Educational opportunities for veterans
• Financial literacy and planning

Offers housing counseling services and workshops on pre-purchase, post-purchase, reverse mortgages, rental, mortgage default/foreclosure prevention, as well as financial education focusing on budgeting, credit, banking, and goal setting. Counseling is provided at various locations.

Works to empower individuals with developmental disabilities, youth and adults with chronic health conditions and complex mental health concerns, and survivors of domestic violence to live as independently as possible. Adult Services include:

• Day Services, including site-based day habilitation, community-based day habilitation, and Individual Retirement Experience (IRE) for those aged 50 and over
• Employment Services which help develop work skills and connect people with competitive employment opportunities
• Self-Directed Services, which enable individuals to make choices about their staff, supports, and services
• Health Homes (comprehensive case/care management)
• In-Home Services, which provide home and community-based skills and self-development training services to adults who exhibit deficits in independent living care skills, with a focus on increasing or maintaining skills to reduce reliance on family caregivers
• Behavioral Services, including home and community based services, as well as behavioral intervention
• Intensive Supports, which provide relief services for families
• Representative Payee Services, which help people to build their financial skills with the goal of financial independence
• Housing Subsidies for clients who meet OPWDD eligibility criteria

• Family Reimbursement Program, which assists with expenses faced by families caring for a person with developmental disabilities
• Alternatives to Incarceration Program, which helps people with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions navigate the various stages of the criminal justice system
• Raise the Age Services, which helps youthful offenders acquire the life skills and pro-social behaviors required to lead self-sufficient lives, gain employment, and avoid further involvement in the criminal justice system
• Project C.O.A.C.H., which provides telephone counseling, referral, outreach, and intervention/prevention for individuals and families
• Domestic Violence and Victim Assistance Program, which provides services to people of all abilities who are victims of any crime, specializing in people with disabilities who have experienced domestic violence

Informs consumers about how sensitive financial information is being increasingly used without permission and how consumers can take action to regain control.

Provides educational workshops for individuals, families, business owners and others that deal with the essentials of money management, asset building and financial independence.

Offers a program where girls learn to manage money, set goals and build toward their dreams.

Focuses on creating asset development opportunities for both residents and entrepreneurs. Assists individuals in growing and investing in their communities by providing lending capital, training, consulting, technical assistance, seminars, workshops, and low-cost business rental space to new and existing businesses that would otherwise lack access to these services. Assists area residents in developing asset based thinking by providing financial literacy training, basic budgeting, and home appliance loans to combat predatory lenders. Loan programs and Cottage Industry Assistance Program target low to moderate income existing and prospective individuals. Chautauqua Microenterprise Loan Fund and the Women and Minority Microenterprise Loan Fund Programs help small businesses by providing small business start up and expansion loans. The small business incubator offers small businesses an opportunity to grow and stabilize with subsidies around rent, business services, and technical assistance. Program site serves as a Warming Center during times of excessive cold and as a Cooling Center during times of excessive heat. Always call ahead to make sure a Warming/Cooling Center is open before going there.

An Office of Mental Health (OMH) funded Recovery Center offering services for adults with mental health conditions. Services include employment support, benefits advisement, parenting classes and support, financial literacy development, educational services, volunteer opportunities, meals, and some social activities. Individualized, same day services are available. Certified Benefits Advisors on staff. Certified Employment Network offers Ticket to Work services for SSI/SSDI beneficiaries. ##REENTRY##

Offers professional, career and leadership development in many areas including; financial literacy and life skills management, work place culture/diversity, drug free life style, individual development, coping strategies, behavior modification and etiquette, resume writing, interview prep, professional/personal Branding, fundamental communication skills and vocabulary, workforce training, dress for success, job search, internship placement, post secondary education and vocational training enrollment assistance, entrepreneur mentorships and Armed Forces enlistment.

Provides opportunities for education, rejuvenation and reflection for residents,membership into community garden, staff and the community of Brentwood. Offers classes and workshops on financial literacy, computer basics, resume writing, nutrition, mental health and wellness.

Pathstone's Newburgh Office houses The Housing Stability Counseling Program (HSCP) and the First-Time Homebuyers Program. HSCP offers free housing counseling to residents facing possible foreclosure, eviction, loss of residence or financial stress regardless of income. The First-Time Homebuyers Program offers housing counseling and education toward home ownership for low to moderate income individuals and families.
