Services provided, as resources permit, include emergency rent payment assistance, local and long distance transit fare, prescription payment assistance, clothing, and utility assistance.

Provides financial assistance for partial rent payment or electric/gas bill payment when facing eviction, shut off or other emergency situations, and is determined on a case by case basis. Funds are given on a one-time basis and is only partial payment assistance, and will give referrals if more help is needed. Please Note: FUNDING IS LIMITED and there is no guarantee to any service. HEAP Plus is a county-funded program that issues a heating benefit to households that exceed the limit for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). Income eligible households may receive a one-time award, paid directly to their heating provider to cover a portion of annual heating costs.

Provides HEAP grants that are used to supplement annual energy costs. Funds can only be sent to primary heating supplier and can be used to pay for electricity, propane, natural gas, wood, oil, kerosene, coal and any other heating fuel. Emergency HEAP grants may also be available to eligible households with a shut-off notice or for those running out of fuel such as propane, wood, oil, kerosene or coal. Also provides assistance with replacement or repair of primary heating source.

Customers who are hospitalized or who have an immediate member of the family in the hospital can have their bill due date extended for an additional 30 days.

Provides tenants with Utility Payment Assistance when they are at risk of having services cut off. This service is not always available, as it is base on funding availability.
